9. Atlanta Hawks

LaMelo Ball | Illawarra Hawks | CG | 6-6, 165

Atlanta seems to place a premium on long, rangy athletes -- at every position. At 6-foot-6, LaMelo Ball checks the length box and brings another trait general manager Travis Schlenk loves: shooting. Ball can fling it -- and make it -- from anywhere on the floor. It could make for one of the most exciting, and potentially maddening, backcourt pairings in the NBA if he and Trae Young teamed up.

LOL... No thank you to having to listen to his daddy's mouth 7 days a week. *thumbs down*

As long as the NBA keeps the mic outta his hands, Lavar is powerless.

I'm less interested in watching his bratty son play no defense, take terrible shots and constantly turnover the rock.

...we already have Trae to do those things.

I really just want no part of that dude. I don't want to see his goofy smile, I don't want to hear his outlandish commentary... Nothing. I have never in my life seen a famous personality so irritating.

Any team that wins with one of his kids, "Without my boy this wouldn't have been possible. My kid did the whole damn thing by his self and we going to win it again and again and again and again...now Atlanta needs to focus on getting the other Ball boys here."

I think TS will keep the Balls far from his young Hawks. I choose Wiseman at this early point. Top 5 projection and position of need.

I absolutely think TS will squeeze one more top pick out of the rebuild. His roster is perfectly set up to get the young guys good minutes, leading to another nice pick.

James Wiseman is the guy I hope we get. He’s a long shot, but you’re going to see the return of the big man soon. It seems like every other year there’s an athletic & super versatile 7’ coming into the draft. I hope we get a shot at him.

Does Isaiah Stewart not seem like someone we should be putting more of our focus on at this point? Wiseman more than likely won't be available for us. Stewart is built like a brickhouse and super long despite being 6'9. Seems like a Ben Wallace trajectory for him. That would fit perfectly with our young guys ability to score, and he can clean up the boards and erase mistakes while defending the low post.

He's a kid I actually hope stays in school an extra year (or two). Seems like most defensive specialists develop slowly in the NBA.

I still can't wrap my head around limited glue guys now being one-and done players in the NBA Draft.

8. Isaiah Stewart, C, Washington | Freshman

Height: 6’9” | Weight: 250

Stewart hangs his hat on doing the dirty work, embracing the physical nature of his position with a well-documented competitive streak. He’s more of a high-floor player than someone you’re drafting as a future star, but his baseline value would seem to be attractive enough that he projects somewhat comfortably as a lottery pick at this very early stage. Stewart will have to continue remaking his body, as he’s naturally heavy-set and keeping weight off might be tricky, but he has the type of length and improving athletic ability to excel if he can manage it. He seems to know exactly where his strengths lie, as a rebounder, finisher and high-end glue guy. He’s developed his jump shot a bit, and there’s some hope Stewart can eventually space the floor a bit, too.

Wiseman or Edwards but we won’t be that high next year as we will be picking around 15-20. We could always move up but it feels like we have our youth locked n loaded.

Deni Avdija could be a polarizing top draft prospect in 2020

In lifting Israel to its second straight Under-20 European Championship while strengthening his status as a potential top-five pick in the 2020 NBA draft, Deni Avdija put on a show with a 23-point, 7-assist, 3-block night -- earning tournament MVP honors in the process.

Read on Twitter

Despite battling shooting struggles and inconsistent scoring efficiency early in this year's U20 tournament, Avdija averaged 18.4 points, 8.3 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 2.1 steals and 2.4 blocks in 32.3 minutes per game. With droves of NBA scouts and executives on hand, Avdija showcased the type of big-game comfortability teams look for in an elite prospect. Avdija's U20 performance was impressive down the stretch, but many in international circles consider the competition level to be at an all-time low since the best players were either competing in the U19 World Championships or the NBA.

Avdija brings the ability to slide anywhere between positions 1 through 4 in a pinch on both ends. He has basketball pedigree. He has winning instincts and star quality. He also will be facing enormous pressure this season as Israel's first real elite draft prospect while trying to earn a role on a major club.

Still, if we're talking about pure talent and potential in today's NBA, Avdija at least belongs in the early conversation with Wiseman and Edwards.

Is Wiseman the only legit top 5 pick contender who's a center? It seems most of the other top pick guys are PG or SG and I'm hoping we have those positions covered

Pretty much.

Isaiah Stewart might be the only other Center to get consideration in the top-10.
