Following the "158 game" @HOU

Allright guys, so I just came around to see if there has been any response by Hawks fans following devastating loss @ Houston. Clearly, there hasn't been. So I just decided to write down a few of my thoughts:

1.) First of all, when you are down by 50 points, just bench your starting unit. I mean, common, you are down by 50 for a reason, and there is no need to play your starters on your 2nd back-to-back game. Just bench them all, put your 2nd/3rd stringers on the floor, give them a chance to show what they can offer you.

2.) Stop jerking 3PT shots from the logo, it's not gonna help you. Period. Show your 2nd/3rd stringers it's worth to play solid defense, move the ball on the offensive end, keep on finding open guys, show them it's possible to compete.

3.) Who's your secondary ball-handler on the team? Give him a chance to develop his skill set and to find chemistry with other guys. What's the point in pumping Trae's empty stats in the garbage time? It looks really silly, I just don't get it. Do some load management on him and sit him out!

Obviously, Lloyd Pierce needs to learn TONS of basics.

I would be glad to read your outlines.

Since the 158 game, Hawks are 2-1 and played BKN tough for most of the game. Cam had a breakout game, Hunter dislocated his index finger and missed the matchup against Prince. Huerter is back from injury and as you saw tonight, he's the secondary ball handler.
Some games just aren't worth overanalyzing.

1. Lloyd is the type of coach that wants effort. Perhaps he didn't see enough of it and using back-to-backs as a barometer is not what he is about. No issue.
2. Trae has the green light to shoot from the moon if it's in the flow of the game. Sometimes they are pretty and a few times he misses. Consider he has been very efficient this year compared to last and thus the shots from the logo. No issue.
3. A few people can handle secondary ball duties evidenced by Huerters return. It's not ideal with Turner/Huerter/Little of Cam, but it's what they have.

Trae's stats aren't so empty if you watch the games. He's penalized for being a scorer..who happens to get his team involved evidenced by his assists and difference on OFFENSE when he's not in the game?

"1.) First of all, when you are down by 50 points, just bench your starting unit."
^Does this also apply to the team that's up by 50 points? I seem to remember some blatant stat padding going on in that game, and it wasn't by the team that was down 50 points.
