Atlanta needs to be very smart. No reason to give up too much for a guy who is expiring and can walk.

Kinda surprised, he was pulled from the market due to the low-value DET was receiving in terms of offers. (two 2nds).

Jeff Siegel: Andre Drummond has an 8% trade bonus in his contract, which as of today is worth $1.27M and drops by $12,245 with each passing day between now and the deadline. That amount will impact how much ATL, or another team, has to send out in a trade.

Parson+ works salary wise.
Turner or Crabbe+Jabari also should be close salary wise.

My initial reaction was - Parsons and BKN 1st, OK...but after further thought, I'm not sending a 1st for half a season. I'd need him to pick up his option. Otherwise it'll be 2 2nds or the OKC 2022 1st.

He isn't as great offensively as his numbers make it believe. Plus it is well known he will likely opt out and be a free agent. Huge risk to trade for him and then watch him bolt.

What's the point of pairing Collins and Drummond? plus Andre is so shaky on defense, not what you want with Trae

Really this has ownership written all over it, so damn terrible

The media mentioning his relationships with players from any and all teams is amusing.

Unfortunately that is the narrative with the current nba. Players want to team up with their "friends".

I've heard Cam's name thrown around in a Drummond deal. Honest question: Has he been as bad as the stats suggest? It just seems unlikely to me ATL would give up on him so soon considering he was just drafted at 10.

I would be okay with Parsons + the BK 1st for Drummond. Maybe add in one of our many 2nds.

From a roster construction standpoint, it could be okay. I definitely wouldn't offer Drummond the full max he's looking for, so that would be the sticking point. I think a 5/135 would be 'fair.'

If so, our rosters/cap would look like this:

20-21 - $63M salary, $52M cap space after renouncing options plus our 1st rounder
PG: Trae
SG: Anthony Edwards, Huerter
SF: Hunter, Reddish
PF: Collins, Parker
C: Drummond, Bruno

In 2021 we would have only $58M in salary while retaining all the above players, and we can make a run at Giannis + a second max player (Oladipo?)

Thrown around by who? I doubt you would hear any Atlanta fans suggesting to trade Reddish. Mostly it seems to be Pistons fans who want more out of deal that they are likely to get.

Reddish is young and raw. That was expected with him. He has made some improvements but his shot still hasn't fallen. Atlanta can afford to give him time because of Hunter being more ready.

Highly unlikey that Reddish is included. He has struggled with his shot but every month he's gotten incrementally better. His defense has been the one constant.

When you consider that Reddish was the rest of the Trae/Luka deal, no way Hawks move him this quickly and definitely not for a 4 month rental.

I'm really interested to see how Drummond would look with a change of scenery, but.. he's a fairly overrated player. Should be a DPOY candidate with his talent but has never come close. Doesn't have a great offensive skill, he can't shoot and Stan Van Gundy's attempt to space the floor and make him Dwight Howard bombed. But he's a dominant rebounder, could be a dominant roll man with Trae Young, and with the right coaching I guess he could be a dominant defensive player.

Rumblings that this might be a Ressler unhappy thing, sigh.
It makes me nervous when owners get involved in player personnel decisions.
