Hawks are an 8.5 point underdog.

Rockets at Hawks

Image

The Rockets clobbered the young Hawks 158-111 on Nov. 30 in Houston, a game best-remembered by James Harden's 60-point effort. Harden didn't even play in the fourth quarter and still wound up with the fourth 60-point game of his career. Houston shot 58.4 percent and hit 25 3-pointers that night.

That game was forgettable for Atlanta. Atlanta has won two of four since enduring a second 10-game losing streak. The Hawks dropped a 123-115 decision to the Denver Nuggets on Monday, a game that was within two points as late as 4:25 left.

The Hawks continue to be led by guard Trae Young, who totaled 29 points and 12 assists against Denver to garner his 11th double-double of the season. Young scored 37 against the Rockets in that lopsided loss in November.

Atlanta has also let Kevin Huerter's role continue to grow. The second-year guard, who has dealt with a left rotator cuff strain and ongoing back soreness, scored 22 on Monday. He scored a career-high 26 points in the previous game against Indiana and is averaging 21 over the last four games.

The Rockets will play without Russell Westbrook, who will take a scheduled off day. This will be the fifth game that the veteran guard has taken off for rest.

Just throw in the towel and don't come out after halftime..just embarrassing.
Where the offseason has more buzz happens.

Seriously, we gotta stop forcing Reddish into the starting lineup.

It's really unfair to him.

At some point fans are going to become tired of defending Reddish. It's always about his confidence issues.
I support the young man and want nothing but the best, but I'm slowly getting tired of defending him.

Hunter needs to have more attempts on offense. We have seen flashes of what he can do.

For all the talk about Trae having no help, Hawks go multiple plays in the 4th where no one other than Trae touch the ball.

That’s bad offense.

Might be time to switch that nickname to ISO-Trae...

I don't like the offense at all so I agree.
Multiple players need more freedom and not be as limited.

3 weeks ago this team would have folded from a 1st quarter beat down and down 23 in the 2nd quarter.
I love the fight to get back in the game.
End of game execution needs work but it should get better with experience.

Reddish
Bembry
Hunter

You gotta make wide open threes at a 40% clip. It's just the way it is.

Nice job by Trae Young getting to the line 18 times and making 16 of them.

True.
I'm not sure how many of their 13 misses became defensive rebounds for Houston but that's a lot of combined misses from 3.
