Re: Teague Time Returns
Interesting trade with how Goodwin has been playing lately. I also now count 15 players on the roster - thought we wanted to keep an open spot for trades, unless this is the type of trade they had envisioned using that extra spot on?? Can we waive Graham?
All things said, Teague is a quality veteran back up on an expiring contract and should give Trae some relief.
Welcome home Jeff!!

how could you love Goodwin? I could understand not being bothered by him or maybe even liking him a little bit, but love? Cmon, he's a G-leaguer.

I love what I love. He’s scrappy and plays defense. What’s bot to like? Kinda lame mindset that a G-Leaguer can’t be appreciated.

Goodwin is on a 2way and doesn't count towards the 15 man roster. We can have 3PGs to finish out the season.
They can convert Goodwin's 2way but likely not until after the trade deadline.

I warmed up to the kid but freely acknowledge #TeagueTime is an upgrade.

Agree, I loved his bulldog approach and his defense.

Yeah I realize Goodwin and Charlie don't count towards the 15, but I still count 15 not including him:
Trae/Teague/Turner
Huerter/Reddish/Graham
Hunter/Parsons/Bembry
Collins/Parker/Carter
Len/Bruno/Jones

Yes. I think more trades are coming.
Parsons and Turner are also buyout candidates.

Agreed. Hopefully this is the first of a few. Center help and some bench shooting should be coming next. I love getting Jeff back to take some pressure off Trae. Combined with Goodwin, PG is looking solid.

Re: Teague Time Returns
Jeff Teague and Treveon Graham have reportedly been traded to the Hawks in exchange for Allen Crabbe.
Teague returns to the team that drafted him, but his value doesn't necessarily improve in Atlanta as he'll now be backing up Trae Young. If he's able to earn minutes alongside Young, that could help him, but it's unlikely he'll be much more than a late-round guy while Young is healthy. DeAndre Bembry could lose some minutes upon Teague's arrival, and Kevin Huerter may see fewer playmaking opportunities. The Wolves getting Teague off the roster is a pretty good indication that they're really ready to start turning Jarrett Culver loose, and Shabazz Napier has an excellent shot of closing out the year as the Wolves starting point guard.

Re: Teague Time Returns
If we’re still pursuing Adams then I kinda feel like we’re in “F**k the draft” mode because him and Teague certainly wouldn’t help high pick aspirations.

This happened outta nowhere but I dig it. Trae and Teague is a nice combo even though the latter is overpaid and older. Goodwin is the quintessential 3rd pg who can provide energy when your top two guys are not bringing it.

Re: Teague Time Returns
Finally a real backup pg behind Trae! Now get Adams and we will finally have a snowball's chance of being competitive again. Teague did a good job while he was here and I would love to see him resigned for the right price.

I like the move. You guys didn't give up any assets and got an upgrade to make Trae happy/help keep the offense afloat when he is sitting.
