If we cut him the last year does it eat into the cap? That's the big FA year. I didn't know it was non guarantee

He has a $1 million in guarantee for the 2021 FA Bonanza. So if we cut him before July 7th only $1 mil against the cap.

He needs to establish himself again. Things didn't workout for him with the Kings and he's been paid, but he holds very little value. I hope he changes that.

10pts, 8rebs, 5blks vs New York tonight.
4 turnovers is the bad. He had 6 fouls but I didn't watch the game so I don't know how those came about.

He has a clear impact on the game defensively for the Hawks. The broadcast made mention of how vocal he was on D, which helped immensely. Not a cure-all as there's clearly more work to do, but certainly a welcome addition.

There was one play where Deadman made a proper rotation but saw that Collins wasn't going to make his proper, subsequent rotation. He yelled (and I think pushed JColl) to get him in the right spot. It was actually pretty funny and sadly a manifestation of JColl's lacking DBBIQ.

He'll help us in that regard. Capela may as well.

Very true.
Foul trouble can be due to many things and not always negative. However, turnovers are always negative, but we need him, he should be happier, and his value (near rock bottom) should increase.

Kevin Chouinard: Hawks say Dewayne Dedmon underwent a non-surgical procedure to address right elbow pain earlier today. He will miss the next three games (BKN, POR, MEM), will be re-evaluated on Monday and his status will be updated as appropriate.

Why one Kings blogger didn't want to see Dedmon go:

There's no question Dedmon and Collins have a great history of complementing each other.

My question is can Dedmon extend his versatility and play beside Capela at times when Collins is getting a breather. Not sure he can. But if that were to be the case, there's at least a sliver of a chance that Schlenk holds on to him for that third year of his contract.

IIRC, Dedmon played PF alongside Alex Len last season, and he also played in some lineups with Damian Jones at C this year, so he's versatile enough in some respects.
Regarding his 3rd year, it all depends on 1. If we sign JC to an early extention this offseason (reducing our cap for 2021), 2. what our FA signings look like this offseason and 3. what the FA targets are for 2021. I can see a situation where the team option is declined but we resign him for a longer deal but for less than the $13 mil...example: 2+1(team option) deal at $8 mil per. So many moving parts especially with the CAP uncertainty.

In case of inmjury or another suspension, is Dedmon able to be re-signed at any point this season by Atlanta?
