Cam has certainly proven himself lately. Should LP go ahead and bump Cam to the starting lineup over Huerter? Or do ya'll think he should stay as the 6th man at least for the rest of this year?

Finish as 6th man but 100% be a starter next year. He’s making these game-clenching strides now, imagine after an injury-free summer of development. For now don’t rock the boat.

Huerter's shot has been off so I can see why people would like Cam as a starter. Last game it was Kev at 46min and Cam at 40 so they are getting huge minutes at such a young age. Remember Kobe was on the bench for the first few seasons, let the kids learn and play big mins and they can battle it out for the starting spot in the future.

I personally think Huerter bball IQ and passing are better while Cam is more athletic and a better defender. Cams shot is dropping, hope Huerter catches fire as well, I thought he'd hit 40% from 3's this season. Future looks bright!

My one concern is that his production could/would be hampered playing alongside Trae and JC. He is playing starter minutes anyways and has been in the game when it counts lately. So the question would be whether or not the team benefits more with Cam as the leading scorer of the 2nd unit or with him as more of a role player with the starting unit.

Fair point but I thought about it, and I think he can still be just as effective. If JC is pick and popping or getting busy in the paint, Trae is roaming, ideally looking to distribute or shoot/attack off the p&r, then Cam is free to just create for himself. They all can stay out of each other’s way I think.
