On Thursday NASCAR announced that the next two races on the schedule at Atlanta Motor Speedway and Homestead-Miami Speedway will be run without fans.

"At this time, NASCAR will hold its race events at Atlanta Motor Speedway and Homestead-Miami Speedway without fans in attendance," NASCAR announced in a release. "These events will be restricted to competitors, crews, officials and other necessary personnel to conduct the race. We will work with public health officials as we determine future scheduling beyond these events."

This is a rough time to be a sports fan.

Bigger picture, I hope this gets resolved quickly and we can all get back to normal.

Sarah K. Spencer: Hawks had a team meeting this morning. Goal was to give players opportunity to ask questions + keep them in the loop as best as possible entering the NBA’s 30-day hiatus. Teams are not allowed to practice for the next few days, but players can work out individually at facility.

Rudy Gobert has pledged to donate $500,000 for arena employees in both Utah and Oklahoma City, as well as overall COVID-19 relief in his native country of France.

Gobert will donate $200,000 to the part-time arena workers at the Jazz's Vivint Smart Home arena. He will also donate $100,000 each to Utah, Oklahoma City and France to assist in relief. "I know there are countless ways that people have been impacted," Gobert said. "These donations are a small token that reflect my appreciation and support for all those impacted and are the first of many steps I will take..." This is undoubtedly a tough time for Gobert and his family, but it's good to see him reacting in a positive fashion and pledging to support others.

Shams Charania: The NBA has informed its 30 teams that, effective Monday, players are able to travel out of market with consultation from their respective teams, sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.
