Not specific to Atlanta, this will be a place to live blog or post about the biggest sporting event in months.

Falcons called about the #2 pick and appear to have been denied. Two hometown guys going #1 & #2.
Falcons should consider trading back and stockpile picks for the future.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Redskins will keep the No. 2 overall pick in Thursday night's draft.

According to Rapsheet, the Redskins "love the player who will be there for them," and we assume that is Ohio State DE Chase Young. There were reports the Redskins were receiving a number of calls about the pick, but it was always going to take a king's ransom for it. The top two picks, as has been the case all along, are locked in, with the Bengals already confirming to Joe Burrow that he will be their pick at No. 1 overall.

I don't like the pick. Falcons should have went with Epenesa in the 1st and gone CB/S in the 2nd round.

Falcons can still salvage this mess by drafting or trading up to get Epenesa, Curtis Weaver, or Zack Baun in the 2nd round.

I would also be satisfied with Grant Delpit as a 2nd or 3rd round pick.

Was A.J. Terrell the right pick for the Falcons?

Vaughn McClure explains whether the Falcons made the right decision by selecting A.J. Terrell with the 16th pick in the 2020 NFL draft.

Why they picked him: The Falcons needed a starting-caliber cornerback after releasing Pro Bowler Desmond Trufant. Terrell has the size (6-1, 195) and the speed (4.42 40-yard dash) to make a difference in a defensive backfield that yielded 9.5 yards per pass attempt to receivers last season, second worst in the NFL.

Biggest question: Terrell had some struggles down the field in coverage, which is the last thing the Falcons need while attempting to prevent big plays. ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. pointed out how Terrell can be a little grabby at times, which is something he needs to iron out immediately. -- Vaughn McClure

Good value for backs in this 2nd round. If Akers, Swift, or Jonathan Taylor are there for the Falcons I'd have to pull the trigger on one. Kind of wished they traded back for another 2nd, but Terrell was a major need with some good tools.

A.J. Epenesa to Buffalo at #54. Probably a good fit for him with the depth they have on defense. He should fit in nicely.
