Roster taking shape:
So we got defense at PG in Dunn, shooting in the front court in Gallo, shooting and defense on the wing in Snell - I love it when a plan comes together.
Salary Cap Space now at $21 million left.....scratch that.
Dunn signed using the room exception so our capspace still at $26....woohoo.

I can’t see why. If we sign Bogi, we’d still desperately need help at point. I do think it means no Rondo, which I’m not sad about at all.

Ya we dodged a bullet in Rondo. He woulda came in demanding his way.

Not quite 24 hours into it, this line pretty much captures my assessment of our signings...

This, too.

Bogi- (the guy who wanted Sexton)
Ingram-sorry Sturt
Gallo- Supes (kinda, few months back named him as possibility).
Hali- Gramps, would have also been nice and sturdy

Quick question for all the OG Hawk fans. Seriously when was the last time we signed 2 significant rotational players in the first 24 hours of free agency? I don’t remember, honestly. Schlenk is killing the draft and so far getting a solid B in the first two signings, maybe a B+

Why are we still chasing Rondo with Dunn? We have money for a major wing upgrade still or to facilitate a big trade acquisition

I don't get the Rondo thing either, but for the record we have $26 million so we can still sign BOTH if needed. just not sure Rondo is a need now.

Ok. Rondo and Dunn now. Sign and trade for Bogi still in play? Don’t think we can sign him outright now

3 signings in less that 24 hours. That’s a Hawks record I don’t even have to check.

This smells like acquiring solid assets to flip.

Feb. 2021

Hawks trade: Collins/Gallo/Rondo/2 future 1sts

Bucks trade : Giannis

Trae/Dunn
Cam/Huerter
Hunter/Snell
Giannis/Bruno
Okongwu/Capela

Suspicious smell coming from NYK.

It's got to be more frustrating right now to be a Knicks fan than a Hawks fan.

Are they maneuvering for a Westbrook deal?

Or... I'm sure everyone's forgotten this by now, but my guess was that there was a 70% chance NOP brings Ingram back... and a 25% chance that NYK makes a successful offer. Successful. What I didn't say, but I'm saying now, is that there's another 25% chance that NYK makes an offer that is unsuccessful.

Or... are they in the BogBog derby?

We’ll see. But I think there’s a 95% chance NOP matches any offer. Maybe BI will refuse to sign an offer and go full unrestricted in a year? But there’s no way they let him go this off-season for nothing.

If for some reason we don’t get Bogdanovic, Norman Powell, similar age, similar microwave scoring as Bogs, but cheaper. Would you interested in making a move for him? He put up 16ppg last year was just as deserving as Harrell for 6th man last year. Shot 40% from three. He also was a hero in the come from behind 0-2 conference finals series wins vs the Bucks.

I think you guys are still very much in the hunt for Bogdan with your cap space and that overall the Hawks took a significant step forward this offseason.

If Indy gets Bogi do we go after Supes boy Torrey Craig not to be mistaken with Craig Smith? my bad.

Return to Atlanta Hawks
