They should have a second tournament. Like the NAIA.

^And all NBA caliber players should decline to play in it. Like the NAIA.

Both Schlenk and Pierce want their young players to play some type of basketball under the supervision so the players aren't force to go to 'unsafe' environs like Trae did. They also have to be considerate of pending FAs

Also, those eight teams understand that players who will be free agents this summer likely will have a different view on taking part in team activity, so mandating something for those players isn’t very realistic.

Sounds like they're still talking, but the quotes leave the impression that there's massive skepticism in NBA and Union HQs that anything's going to come from it.

Wonder why, though, if you think you can create a relatively acceptable bubble environment for 22 teams' roster of players and coaches, you'd be inclined to think you couldn't for just 8 somewhere. Maybe that's just me.

So, Taurean goes down today, and it seems there's a constant drip, drip, drip of new news.

Can't say I'm especially excited at this point to see any attempt to do basketball for 2020. It just seems foolhardy.

And as we get past this and time moves on, who's really going to assign much legitimacy to any 2020 championship in any sport at this point?

Scrub the whole facade of championship basketball. Just let everyone play who's healthy. Use this down season as developmental time much like you'd use summer league and preseason. Fans not only will understand, they'll be appreciative that the league didn't try to sell a deficient product, and grateful just to see some ball.
