more scoring
I believe we need more scoring. Here are a list of players. Tell me if you guys like any of them and which one(s) would be obtainable.
Beal, Lavine, Derozan, Wiggins, Tobias Harris, Holiday (from NO) Rozier, Ingram, Hield, Dinwiddie, SGA, Gallinari (which a believe is a free agent).

Unavailable - SGA, Tobias (Philly is trying to win, plus he's owed a boatload).
(R)FAs - Ingram, Gallinari, DeRozan (PO if he declines it)
Do not want - Wiggins, Rozier
The rest (Beal, Lavine, Holiday, Hield, Dinwiddie), it just depends on what you are willing to trade. The 2020 pick and the 2022 OKC picks should be available for trade, you just need to figure out which of the young core players you are willing to include in trade for the above players.

to me our trade assets are in 4 tiers.
Tier 1= absolutely will not trade
Tier 2= more than 90% not going to trade
Tier 3= will trade for win now player that could also be future asset
Tier 4= will trade for win now player that may only be for 1 or 2 years.
Tier 1= Trae Young (best player we have had since dominique wilkins, can't trade, took to long to get a player that in my mind a
super star)
Tier 2= Clint capela ( I would not trade until I see how the fit is with Trae). Cam Reddish (so to much promise in his play later in the
season would not trade until at least 2 more season to see if he can reach his ceiling or at least close to his ceiling if he
does we will have another star player)
Tier 3= John collins ( I like Collins alot, but would trade him if a super star player was on the line.)
Tier 4= Hunter, Huerter, and 2020 first round pick ( I like Hunter and Huerter but I would trade both if that meant we got players
that got us to the post season especially if it was a top 4 seed.)

Yeah, those are some nice names but that's not a winning team.
I'd take Dunn as a backup guard tho.

Help me out. What is wrong with that line-up. The way I look at it you have scoring at all three levels in the front and back court and defense with Capella, Cam, and either Bradley or Dunn
you would have three players that can score 20+ every night. Name one team that is a contender that has only one player that can go for 20+ a night. They have at least 2, most have 3.

How would you know that is not a winning team if they have not played together?
People said that same thing about wade, lebron, and bosh when they first teamed up. They said it wasn't enough basketballs to go around so they all could score.

Sums it up nicely. If we’re focusing on “the rest”, majority of em are a matter of what we’re willing to give up for someone with decent fit next to Trae offensively but questionable on defense. To be honest, my personal favorite of the names is Lavine but I also understand he’s cartoonishly bad on defense. Can LP inspire effort and teach him some awareness on that end? If so, we would definitely have a playoff team because Zach is a bonafide bucket getter. My next favorite is Dinwiddie just because of how good he is on both ends at the price he’s at, my only concern is how serious he is about fans choosing his next destination lol
I do think a big move is coming. For me, Trae, Cam and JC are my three untouchables. Not so much JC because there are a few names I would accept moving him for but I think his chemistry with Trae should be protected if possible. Everyone else is fair game, but I’m sure Hunter or Huerter (or both) would be the ones most likely packaged with our pick(s) so I just hope they are enough for a decently big fish to get us winning games.

Trae/Lavine/KAT on defense - Capella will be in foul troble most games. You at least need to have willing defenders.

Lebron, Wade, Bosh - played on both sides of the ball. They were dragging their teams to playoffs - let me know when Lavine and KAT do that.

Trae and KAT could be an absolute force offensively with Reddish and Capela providing elite defense alongside them, making us a real well rounded powerhouse come playoff time.
I want no part of Lavine. He's never shown the ability to make a team better.

How about
Trae (Frank Ntilikiana)
Derozan (Cam)
Gallinari (Hunter)
Collins (Jae Crowder)
Capella (Deadmon)
Cam off the bench. Huerter of bench. Ntilikiana and Crowder and Cam would be for defensive stops.

I am not a salary cap guy, but with rough math that is about 85 million salary. I believe salary cap is 115 million.

Lavine would not have to "make the team better". I feel like he would clearly be the 2nd best player on the team and would alleviate a lot of pressure making the game easier for Trae. And in turn allowing Trae to have the ability to make the team better.

Trae/Derozan - bad defensively.
Are you trading for Derozan if he picks up his option and if so what/who are you trading. If signing as a FA because he opted out, how much are you paying him?

Re: more scoring
Derozan is a definite “heyul nawl” for me, s/o to kg
Lavine is one of those players you can’t put in a position for him to believe he’s the alpha dog on the team, just like Schroeder. If we land a deal where we keep Collins and Cam, he’d be walking into a different situation in Atlanta, a situation where everyone around him can reliably go get some buckets, all he would have to do is get in where he fits in. I don’t think he’s ever seen that before. I think this is a situation where he would make our team better, offensively at least, but who knows maybe some of the energy and awareness he would normally have to save for offense can be put towards the defensive end, keep him moving his feet.

I am not sure how much of a commodity Derozon is now. His option is 27mil. I would offer 3 year deal about 74 mill brake down like this 28 mil 1st year, 22 mill 2nd team option, 24 mil 3rd player option. Gallinari same type structure 17 mil 1st, 17 mil team option, 17 mil 3rd player option.
and Trae and Derozan would be for offense. Not all position have to be defense. Ntilikiana, Crowder, and Capella would be for defense.
