Been eyeing this guy all season. He's a UFA. He'd bring some much needed toughness to the team. He's improve the second unit immensely if that was the role he got. He'd also do a great job as a spot starter if that was needed. Doesn't give us perimeter shooting, but does so much well on the court. His ability to back up both Capela and Collins would give us great depth at the 4 and 5, something we desperately need.

I'd love to see him on the Hawks. If we're gonna overpay for a UFA this summer, I'd rather do it with a guy like this who's only making $6 mil this season as opposed to a guy like Gallinari who's going to expect a bump from the $21 mil he's currently making.


So what do you guys think? How much would it take to get this guy and how much would you be willing to spend?

He’s my guy and I love him. He and FVV impact winning. I’d like to sign him but also love Collins. He’s my fav free agent out there though. We just need to keep things clear for Giannis or at least a chance of Giannis.

I like him as a bench player for all the reason mentioned. Then comes the money ...

The problem is I think it would take too much to pry him from the Clippers. And I doubt he'd come here for a bench role.

Plus, I could see a team like CHA offering him similar money for a starting role. We wouldn't be able to compete with that, sadly.

Clearly a bench role playing starter's minutes for a likely playoff team in Atlanta is better than simply starting for a flawed, middling team like CHA and should mean more but you know how NBA psychology goes. Doesn't always follow logic.
