End of the bench

This time last week I was cringing at the idea that Schlenk was going with 4 PGs, but given what he said in his Zoom presser the other day, it's apparent that he's regarding Dunn as a Tony Allen type, and not really as a PG so much. That makes some sense.
I also was cringing at the idea that the Colonel was going to go with 4 traditional bigs plus Gallinari who will be playing more at that position than at any time before in his career. It seemed to me to be putting a whole lot of confidence in a guy with a half-season of NBA experience and a guy with no experience. Still does, really, but again his Zoom presser revealed that he's being influenced by how much he saw small-ball lineups in the playoffs, especially MIA... the inference being that he really doesn't feel he needs to have 6 bigs. That, also, makes some sense.
Having said that, had he taken my advice, I sooooo would have preferred Shaq Harrison to Brandon Goodwin, assuming he's going to end up with the low-end contract one expects at this stage of free agency.

Similarly, I sooooo would have preferred Rondae Hollis-Jefferson to Solomon Hill.

Of course, on both counts, it's altogether plausible if not highly likely that Schlenk did pursue one or both, but that the agents for Harrison and Hollis-Jefferson were/are still looking for teams where their client is likely to get the most minutes.
