Looks like we're running ot back with the same starting 5. Who comes through tonight to carry the Hawks?

The visiting Atlanta Hawks will get a chance to test their newfound fourth-quarter resolve on Friday when they play their second straight game against the Boston Celtics.

The Hawks ended their four-game losing streak by beating the Celtics 122-114 on Wednesday night. The victory also snapped a seven-game losing streak against the Celtics and was the first Atlanta win in Boston since April 8, 2018.

The Hawks again will have assistant coach Nate McMillan running the team on Friday. He is filling in for head coach Lloyd Pierce, who returned to Atlanta for the birth of his second child.

The victory reversed a trend of fourth-quarter struggles for the Hawks. It was the 17th time they had taken a lead into the fourth quarter, but only the 10th time they've managed to close it for a victory.

The past few weeks have not been easy for the Celtics. Boston has lost five of its last seven games and seen its record slip to .500. Boston has been particularly vulnerable in transition defense, although the Celtics allowed only 10 fast-break points against the Hawks.

The Celtics should get Kemba Walker back for the rematch. The veteran was withheld for load management on Wednesday. He has averaged 17.8 points and six assists in 32 career games against Atlanta. Walker missed two games against Atlanta last season. Daniel Theis missed his second game with a sprained right index finger, suffered Sunday against Washington, and remains uncertain.

Bruno Fernando is terrible. Why is he not in the D League?

Our 2 & 3 are killing us. Make your shots or contribute in other ways.

Starting to think we owe myrak an apology. Having Lavine woulda helped a whole lot this season if we knew 90% of our team would eventually forget how to score.

I'm approaching the point that I'm okay missing the playoffs and taking one last swing in a loaded draft class.

Huerter looks like an above average bench player. Reddish looks awful. Collins is good, but can't create -- at all.

We need another creator on the perimeter. (Man, Tyrese Halliburton would be extremely useful right now.)

Boston's announcing crew has spent the entire first half emphasizing how vulnerable Trae is defensively. Repeatedly calling for Cs to attack TY on every single possession.

The team is just lifeless and lazy...lotto in 21 yet again.

So at the end of the 3th...
Jc, Cam, Guerrero, Gallo are a combined 8 for 40.

1 for 15 from 3.

No way we can win when we do that.

I wanted Haliburton as he could have fix the PG backup and help on the wing more than Rondo or Dunn can do, but maybe Schlenk has already his eyes on Bogi and thought it would be a problem. But Haliburton would have been a perfect fit with Trae for so many years to come, and I think him, Trae and Bogi could have played 28min each on PG-SG spots perfectly. Huerter and Redish would have take the 10 last min and the backup SF minutes behind Hunter. Or one of Huerter and Reddish could have been dealt.

Now, let see that that both are starting right now, when they should come off the bench. We're really missing Hunter and Bogi, really

Last point, I would have prefer Wood than Gallo because Capela+John/Wood+John/Capela+Wood would have been a better C-PF rotation than with Gallo, mainly because if this John+Gallo nightmare combo

EDIT : and Capela+Gallo and the bench guys are making a comeback... damn, Capela the only player of this roster with constant impact, between players not injured, because Hunter too !

9pts game only now, with 5 minutes left !
Let's see what players will come better than in the first half, or ruin that comeback :-)

First action after that : Capela is out, welcome back to John+Gallo and instant basket for BOS with both being dreaming instead of defending

EDIT : after a disaster, Capela back instead of John, 1 minute left, ball to come back to 7pts, and Trae with the offensive foul :banghead:

That Capela acquisition is looking like a steal.
