Hawks vs Knicks -- Episode 2: The Empire Strikes Back

Hawks look to extend series lead to 2-0 vs. Knicks

The Atlanta Hawks came up with a huge win in Game 1 over the New York Knicks on Sunday evening on Trae Young’s game-winning floater, and they will look to ride that momentum to another win in Madison Square Garden on in Game 2 on Wednesday. After two off days, the teams are set to battle for the fifth time overall this season.

Atlanta largely executed a pretty solid defensive gameplan in Game 1, and will look to replicate that. One area of weakness was their ability to flank Derrick Rose and Immanuel Quickley on New York’s second unit, so we will see if Nate McMillan chooses to adjust his rotations and put a little more defense on the floor when those two take the floor.

This is obviously a huge game for both teams (as is any playoff game), as going up 2-0 and heading to Atlanta would be enormous for the Hawks, and an equally devastating result for New York.

CONGRATULATIONS JR!!!

Not only is the clear Most Improved Players and has established himself as an elite NBA player.

He was in some bad situations early in his career and not getting the respect and development he deserved but I'm happy to see he finally found a great situation, great environment and home in NYC!

We are all excited to see two high powered guys like Randle and Trae finally go at it in the Playoffs. Its just great NBA basketball!

Voted for Gallo to give him a kick in the ass. He really needs to play better. he played so bad his #1fan has been too ashamed to show up here all week.

Very excited/nervous for tonight. Hopefully the team comes out fired up as opposed to being content they stole home court. Need to see more from JC, Capela, Lou Will, Gallo and Huerter tonight.

Now when things under microscope everyone see how bad this nix team is. Most teams didn't even bring it vs them during regular season for whatever reason.

Need JC and Gallo to wake up. Put this trash away and dont give them no hope. They'll huff and puff but being trash ( who they really are ) will show again and again. They cant score and want to slow it down on D. Run on them and pack paint, they won't score.
