Re: Hawks face 76ers in Decisive Game 7

The big question is, "Which team has the most pressure on them?" Could it be Atlanta, who is the #5 team in the east, who no one thinks should even be here with a 3-3 record?
Or, could it be the #1 team in the east who is playing at home, where they have already lost games to the Hawks? What if they slip up? What will the media say if they get beat? What will all their fans say?

Hopefully Bogi can play tomorrow, and gets hot again. We almost had game 6.

I will follow the entire game this time guys!
The three games I was not able to watch live, PHI won. The three other, ATL won, so I will cross my fingers and watch every second on this one.

We need to copy Clippers approach and embrace small-ball against the size of Philadelphia.

But there is a big difference between UTA and PHI : Gobert gets no ball on offense, he only had 6 shots in the last game, while it should be easier to feed him with alley-oop on small defender.
PHI will give the ball to Embiid if ATL play small ball

On that we can agree. But our bigs haven’t had much success in slowing down Embiid. We’ve gotten lucky that his nagging knee injury has limited him in second halves. His limited mobility also prevents him from being a factor in transition. He can’t move laterally or in reverse.
I’ll give up half court two point attempts to him all game if it means we can push the ball on fast breaks and remove his defensive prowess from the chess match.
One big man. Four perimeter players. That’s what I’d play against him. It keeps Capela and Collins fresh and able to take turns guarding Joel all night.
And if we’re going to win this game, it’s offense that’s going to do it.

Bucks fan sending love. I think you're a tougher matchup for us in the ECF, but I have no interest in watching Philly or listening to their fans. Go Hawks!

If it was a regular season game would Embiid be suspended for one game?

I don’t think he did anything worth a suspension. Bottom line is we need all our shooters hitting tonight. We need another 20 3pt night to beat them. I expect Embiid to go for 40 and I expect Ben to play inspired. He’s looked like he just saw a ghost for 22 of the 24 quarters this series. Need our shooters tonight and we need Trae to get juiced up by everything they are calling him up there all night.

How is that possible that McMillan didn't understand that he needed to say to Capela "in the first quarter, don't move, try to get a charge on Embiid or nothing"
It's not complicated. Refs will call every small contact, it was written
Capela did it in a previous game, why not doing it again

OK with that, for sure, but I thought it was necessary to start with Capela, but with him not being too much agressive on Embiid.
His defense is great when in the FT line, but not great on side of the basket. He knows that Embiid will attack, so he has to pick a position, raise his arms, and don't move. I bet at least one time out of three Embiid will be called for a charge, then stop it and play the long 2s or 3s
PS : Okongwu's defense is good, I was afraid he would get a rookie treatment from the refs, but it's OK at this moment

Because while he's listed at 280lbs, Embiid is probably over 300lbs, and Cap has to take the hit.D21 wrote:How is that possible that McMillan didn't understand that he needed to say to Capela "in the first quarter, don't move, try to get a charge on Embiid or nothing"
