Kevin has missed his last ten three point attempts.
6 for his last 28

Hacks are sorry, last season was a fluke.

What a strange game...
starters letting NOP leading by 19pts, Trae, Kevin and DeAndre not good at all, and 9 TO in the 1st quarter
Bench unit (and a bit with Capela) cut it from -19 to -6
Trae comes back, and Kevin, and DeAndre, goes from -6 to around -15
Bench unit and Capela again cut it from -15 to -9
Nate puts Trae with them, it's better, Bogi and Gallo continues to score and Trae starts to play rightly, hit shots for 2min and ties the game.
And they miss the opportunity to win it missing the last shots.
Wright, Lou, Bogi, Gallo, Okongwu were easily our best players tonight, and dominating NOP
The other players : Trae with 7 TO and worst +/- of -19, like Hunter. Hunter -15 in 18min.
Capela at -12, bad with these three guys, better with the bench unit. These 6 guys would have won this game, played better defense, took their time on offense and were not loosing balls
NOP took 9 shots more than ATL thanks to their 18 offensive rebounds
What hurts is that it's not the first time than the best players on the floor are the only ones, except Hunter, that didn't get a new contract last summer.
Usually, Kevin is good this season, but it shows that if he's not good, the starters are not too.
This team is capable of the best like the worst, and on overage, is average and has an average record.
Efficicency difference is a good example showing what this team is doing:
- bench guys are 10th in the league in with +3
- starters are 19th in the league with -3, the problem is not the whole team, it's the starters, or how Nate coach them

Terrible 1st quarter was our demise (TOs, no offense, no defense)...and giving up 18 OFFENSIVE Rebounds)REBOUNDS. Sigh.

This team just does not like getting over 500. Its like a cursed number for them.

They could do it again if they had the same effort and teamwork. This team is individually a little better but they just do not have the same teamwork. They have to find that chemistry again.

I'm over this team. I hope our front office can make a serious trade this off-season that changes things. We need some veterans, we need defense, and we eventually need another star talent.

Right, but the big question is from where comes the problem?
Yes, players can reacts themselves, but I also don't see the same body language from Nate compared to last season.
It's not normal to have a coach not able to motivate all players like that, it's not possible to have bench wanted more to win than the starters, or at least playing with more focus.

For sure, without this quarter, it would have been different, but it's possible to have bench unit fighting to cut NOP lead to 6pts, and then again starters ruining it and NOP taking again 15pts lead or something like that.
Two times they ruined it, and two times, bench guys were cutting the lead, before the last minutes and Trae can have a bit of impact
NOP are also at 10th but in Western Conf, same spot, but they want to win this game 10 times more than ATL

I can't with Nate. SMH.
Instead of trying to match the Pelicans’ size, McMillan opted for Gallinari and Bogdan Bogdanovic in the fourth quarter instead of going with two bigs in Capela and Onyeka Okongwu or Hunter, who played only four seconds in the fourth quarter.
“We talked about Onyeka and going to two bigs, but we didn’t,” McMillan said. “Gallo was the one guy who was scoring for us. We needed his shooting on the floor. What we have to do in situations like that is gang rebound. We knew that this team was a really good offensive rebounding team with their length and size. That was going to be an issue.”
Make this make sense.
