Re: Bogi signs extension!
Unreal. Canada knew coming in that stopping Bogdan was key...and they still couldn't do it.

He escaped any Dillon Brooks rough stuff....one more game! I need a healthy Bogi to start the season.
By the way, he's trade eligible in 8 days

Yahoo SportsTakeaways from the 2023 FIBA World Cup
Bogdan Bogdanović is healthy
There may be no shooter in the world who induces greater fear in opposing fan bases than Bogdan Bogdanović, at least during FIBA play. When Bogdanović has the rock in his hands, an extra bounce in his step and a clear runaway to launch into a wide-open triple, you can hear a collective groan in the crowd.
Bogdanović was named First-Team All-Tournament after averaging 19.1 points per game and shooting 42.3% on 6.5 long balls per contest. He scored at all three levels. He defended with aggression, jumping into passing lanes like a cornerback searching for pick-sixes. It was a reminder just exactly how dangerous a weapon the Hawks have stashed on the wing next to Trae Young and Dejounte Murray. It was a reminder why Atlanta was able to discuss De’Andre Hunter trade concepts this summer, league sources told Yahoo Sports, with Detroit, Indiana and others.
It was also a reminder why Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Milwaukee Bucks were so interested in Bogdanović in the late summer of 2020. If you recall, Milwaukee nearly signed-and-traded for Bogdanović to be the backcourt ball-handler of Antetokounmpo’s dreams, before the deal was ultimately nullified due to tampering violations, and the Bucks ultimately moved on to acquire Jrue Holiday from New Orleans. When healthy, Bogdanović is a bad, bad man.

UproxxThe X-Factor For Each Team In The Eastern Conference
Atlanta Hawks: Bogdan Bogdanovic
While Hunter is important, I think getting a fully healthy Bogdan Bogdanovic would be the thing that really allows the Hawks to be a factor in the East playoff picture. He has played in 44, 63, and 54 games in his three seasons in Atlanta, struggling to stay healthy and on the floor consistently. That’s been a big loss for a Hawks team that has a big need for a player of his skillset, who can be a shot creator and initiator with the second unit and a spot-up threat and off-ball worker with the first unit. Hunter isn’t at the level of Bogdanovic with either of those skills (but is a superior defender), and when Bogdanovic isn’t in the lineup or is banged up and playing at less than 100 percent, the Hawks just lack some juice offensively.
He’s coming off of a tremendous summer showing in the FIBA World Cup for Serbia and should be in great condition to start the season. The concern is whether he can maintain that conditioning throughout the 82-game season and into the playoffs, especially after taking on a big workload in the World Cup. If he can carry over that level of play, the Hawks should look much more dangerous offensively this season as he figures to bring a lot of qualities Snyder will want from Atlanta on that end of the floor this year.

It frustrates me when Quin doesn't leave him in to close games.

Re: Bogi signs extension!
Irony here:
Bucks had actually worked out a trade for Bogdanovic years ago, but they engaged in underhanded negotiations to get it done.
Hawks swooped in and stole Bogdan in RFA.
I often wonder if Bogi regrets missing out on a title with Milwaukee...
