Not so rusty in the end :D
and MIN were dominating with him, he certainly took the time to be in great shape before returning

Anyway, close game, ATL trailing by 5pts at the halft, but would be leading by 4pts without the 5min played with Mathews (-9pts with him).
Playing a guy that is essentially seeing the floor from the bench can't lead to have any impact with him. Better bench him for the second half

OK, so they were playing well with Holiday (+14 with him at this point), built a 10pts lead after 5min in the 4th quarter, then Trae came back and MIN did a 7pts stretch in a few seconds... how can he come back and instantly make a bad pass taking things more easy than he should

ATL leading 111-108 with 6min left

EDIT: 5min left, 113-113, ATL +14 with Holiday (even playing Vs Conley), -14 with Trae
And another bad pass... MIN leading

Tired of that, this guy can't play seriously two game in a row. It's like after one good game, he thinks the next one is a training or a pickup game

A big L tonight!
Trae played right the previous game, and tonight, sorry but the L is all on him for the way he played when coming back in the 4th quarter.

Holiday made 7 AST and 0 TO in 15min
Trae made 8 AST and 6 TO in 32min

The SuperMax contract has the worst impact of the team on this game, well done.

Starting backcourt struggled overall. Not sure why OO and Bey didn't finish this one off or is this a team eval until the final game of the season... Can't let these teams hover around .500 on threes. Reid is a good backup C but the likes of him can't be allowed to go off.

Tough loss, but it doesn't move the needle for the Hawks, Hawks remain at #8 in the east. However helping MINN and the Lakers win last night pushes Luka out of the playoffs currently.

Team was at a disadvantage with fatigue and travel (terrible scheduling quirk, BTW), but I agree with coach that they competed throughout, and that is more important than a W or L at this juncture.

NOTE: We need more size in the interior. Our front court got bullied by Rudy, KAT and Naz.

I'm surprised we never went small ball 5-out to exploit the lack of mobility of Minnesota's bigs. That's what opponents use to do to Quin's Utah teams for so many years.

This is why I wanted Walker and Charles Bassey in the last few drafts, but Hawks keep on drafting SFs.....

Losing by one point can deflate you. Anthony Edwards didn't even play.
Trae did a nice job getting to the line for 16 free throw attempts.

Taylor's transparency is cold comfort for the Hawks, according to star guard Trae Young. After the game, Young posted the pool report as an Instagram story, with some comments.

"We don't care now," Young wrote.

Also: "This goes back to my statement I said at the beginning of the year, refs should be held more accountable ($, suspensions, etc.) just like us. They shouldn't get 'We missed it' passes."

NBA refs are scored on every game, coaches and team officials also give refs' performance feedbacks and there is an independent analytics teams that monitors refs. All of these metrics will determine which refs are allowed to work in the playoffs. If a ref gets a low enough score by the end of the year, they will be let go by the NBA. All of these changes were made after the FBI investigation.
