Re: Countdown for Okongwu and Bey Extensions
Looks like a pretty great value for Okongwu's new deal.

Landry Fields has the Danny Ferry-esqe skill to get very good players to settle on below average contract numbers.

Great deal for both sides on Okongwu's deal
Collins was way overpaid, Hunter is way over paid but this Okongwu's extension is really good and fair

Re: Countdown for Okongwu and Bey Extensions
After losing his starting spot to Jalen after 2 games, Saddiq may come to regret not inking an extension with Atlanta when he had the chance.
He'll have to play out of his mind this season to get a bigger deal from another team next summer.

Re: Countdown for Okongwu and Bey Extensions
Bey likely gets traded considering JJ is up for his extension by Oct of next season if not mistaken. Hawks would likely want to clear the salaries of Capela and Bogi perhaps even Hunter.

I'm curious what you think Bey could net in trade with less than a full season of team control and him wanting a fat extension.
IIRC, Detroit got a backup Center, the biggest bust of the 2020 draft in exchange for him.
We might get the John Collins special for an in-season trade of Saddiq Bey:
- Expiring/useless vet
- A 2nd Round Pick that will never convey

I mean either traded or let go. Bey is a valuable 6th man especially for a playoff team which everyone fancies themselves these days. 2-4 2nd rounders I'd surmise. His salary is too low to be a standalone, maybe attach him with Capela.
Clips look very lean with that frontcourt after their trade.

That is indeed optimistic...
