I hope that Hawks-Thunder matchup is a dress rehearsal with both teams starters playing the entire 1st Half!!!

Hawks have a legit chance to start the season 4-1 and take an early lead in the division race.

We gotta hit the ground running this season.

Mark the dates:

November 3rd and December 2nd.

Because Dyson just declared war.

This is pathetic. But not unexpected. We are not a strong franchise or competitive team.

I'm guessing this is going for the angle of #1 pick in 2023 vs #1 pick in 2024. Risacher vs Wemby.

Gotta prove them wrong this year:

The Spurs are scheduled foe the Christmas Day matchup vs the Knicks instead of Indy or Atlanta. :curse:

That's way too much Western Conference basketball...

That's disappointing.
The team just needs to prove people wrong.

A few observations from an armchar psychologist.

1. Bogdan and Clint are not present here. Not a huge deal. As older, international players they likely are not in town just yet. Not really a big deal.

1b. No DeAndre Hunter, either... Hmmmm

2. All the new guys are on one side...and the old heads are on the other side. To that same point, all the international guys are sitting together. Worth keeping an eye on.

2b. It'll actually be nice having a so many young Euro players to support each other through a transition to playing ball in the US.

3. Larry Nance is sitting on the newbie side despite having more years of NBA service than any player pictured.
I really like this. It's probably something as simple as explaining American Football rules to the euro kids. But it still bodes well for a veteran with a reputation as a good locker room presence.

4. There's a lot of damn guards in this photo. Everyone here identifies as either a PG or a SG except Nance and Onyeka. That feels problematic.

5. What the hell is on Nikola Đurišić's T-Shirt?!? This is a work outing, young man.
Not acceptable. :wavefinger:
