OT: Luka Traded to Los Angeles Lakers

I also suspect some level of collusion by NBA Owners. Just swap top, elite players so no one ever gets a supermax again.

(I'd bet money that the first team Dallas called to offer Luka in trade was Milwaukee -- in an attempt to get Giannis.)

It's reported that no one knew that Luka was being shopped. So, I'm not sure if you want to make that bet. This trade really came out of left field.

I kind of had a feeling that Luka was a cancer and diva early on when Rick Carlisle after only one year working with Luka was like 'nope, i got to get out of here, i don't want to deal with this guy.'

Even if he did...this is a terrible return and terrible execution.

Mavs could have gotten more just by riding things out a few more days.

I agree, the trade is an 'F'..... if only the mav could have just gotten Dalton Knecht and AD, it would have at least made the trade some what palatable and given alittle bit of hope to mav fans.

but since the mavs didn't shop around Luka, then it makes it obvious that Luka demanded a trade to LA
