nsi Saleh has been promoted to general manager of the Atlanta Hawks and will oversee all day-to-day basketball operations for the team, effective immediately

Adding an accomplished, senior-level leader to provide strategic direction and structure as well as partnering with Onsi and our talented front office is a top priority,” Principal Owner Tony Ressler said.

Landry deserved to be fired for the Dejounte Trade. That trade cost us pretty much everything.

The Atlanta Hawks are in a better spot today than they were 12 months ago.

Both statements are true.

Landry...will be just fine, though.

Well that was expected but unexpected. Fields righted the ship after the DJM trade. I guess this new guy has a better vision, who knows lol.

Not sure if it's a spin, but they are saying the new GM, his name always escapes me is a fast riser in the field. Gave up a pretty penny to get him from GS. That level of intrigue is a positive.

We need him to pull some magic this summer. Super pivotal time to decide if this franchise will do a total rebuild or actually push in all the chips. It's no in between for where they are at.

Only thing I can figure is either Fields PO'd a Ressler or Ressler woke up to the fact that Fields not a quality level NBA GM

I just don't see Fields as the type to lead a power struggle so I opt for reason #2

Fields has already explored the value Trae Young has and failed miserably. The Spurs acting if Trae doesn't interest them only decreased his value.

I never liked the trade with the Clippers.

Many of us here on the forum had Daniels on our draft board.

I wonder if Grant actually saw something in him or was he just a filller for the trade?
