Re: Quin Snynder Extended!
Well, there you have it.
Landry spent months singing Quin's praises.
Onsi spent the past year singing Quin's praises.
And now it's official. This feels a bit like when Travis extended Nate McMillan after the strong season finish in 2021. It would be difficult to justify a coaching change after finally experiencing some measure of success. (In the Regular Season, anyway.)

Re: Quin Snynder Extended!
I'm still not a fan of it. It seems like a major overreaction to some playoff luck while ignoring all of the negatives. Hopefully he figures out rotations and how to play and develop youth.

Re: Quin Snynder Extended!
Coach deserves this.
He's a few games below .500 as a Hawk but the roster has been dysfunctional and he has lacked leadership on the court & within the front office. There was positive change this season and I look forward to it continuing. The expectation is that next season will be a winning season and he will be above .500. Let's keep building!
There's not another free agent coach right now that I would want instead of Quin right now.

Or he's extended because he has done exactly what Ressler wanted.
His record is certainly lower than expected, but I'm sure they tanked one year ago, not to be as bad as possible, but to be sure that SAC would not get their pick.
And this season was... strange. He could not try the initial roster, and then was not to bad to finish the season.
I absolutely don't like how the young guys are managed, but again, it can come for above... don't forget that the owner likes money staying in his pocket, and running a long development of player allow to re-sign them for a lower amount after their rookie contract.
But it also has more chances to keep your team average than being able to reach your full potential

Re: Quin Snynder Extended!
Our starting lineup has been dysfunctional for years.
Quin now has some stability with Jalen Johnson and NAW. OO as well. Still no superstar but that's been Coach Quin's career. Things only go up from here if we stay healthy.

Stability you say? NAW was never supposed to start, he's a first year starter after 7 years in the league. JJ finally played a full season. OO first full season as a starter.
