TNT funnyman and former NBA standout Charles Barkley gives us his five biggest surprises of the season so far:

1. The struggles of the Knicks, Heat and Bulls. I was excited for the season because I thought these teams were good. They're not.

2. The Hawks, who'd better make the playoffs so I can act like I know what I'm talking about.

3. How good of a player Portland's Brandon Roy has turned out to be.

4. How well the Lakers are playing.

5. How long it has taken the Mavericks to get over their playoff hangover.
