We have lost 3 straight and the last thing we need to do is drop below .500.

Hawks favored to win by 4 and the O/U is 188

I'm leaving right now to hit up Fat Matt's and then off to the game. I should have my drunk on by the time this thing gets going. I hope we have some fans this time - on the one hand, weekend crowds are generally better, on the other hand, the Nets are an old boring team. Should be a close game. Josh and Al might have a field day against that weak interior.

This is one of the biggest games of the season thus far. We need to put an end to these bad vibes NOW.

The Nets are among the league LEADERS in attendance on the road.

Where did you see this? Maybe due to his neck.

Well the NBA box score says Childress is starting...

I just saw on rotoworld that he said he had a sore neck for the last two weeks now. I didn't know about that.

Josh Smith hasn't looked like himself in weeks. Gone are the rim-rattling dunks, the power moves to the basket and his high-flying ways in general. He's still blocking shots in jaw-dropping ways. But there's no doubt something's missing from his physical arsenal. Smith has played with a sore neck since a collision with Dwyane Wade during a 117-111 overtime victory over Miami on Dec. 19 at Philips Arena. He has managed to be effective throughout this stretch but acknowledged that the injury doesn't allow him to extend himself the way he's used to on his trips above the rim.

anyone watching this game on TV? The online box score has to be wrong... why would Josh Smith, Marvin Williams, Vince Carter and Richard Jefferson all not start?

You guys should invest in NBA League Pass...

Josh Smith with a highlight dunk to start the game.

Beautiful way to start the game. Horford with a great block on one end, nice pass down court to Smith and Smith actually finishes a breakaway dunk with some force this time.

Love the way the Hawks are starting this game. They are really getting out in transition.

Nice a dunk from Smoove....seems like it's been forever since he's had a monster jam like that.

Return to Atlanta Hawks
