We don't need superstars, but team player at this postions to complete this team. WE ARE WHO I THOUGHT WE WERE! a .500 team that will just make or miss the playoffs. We need a defenceive minded center,a pure shooter (not salim) and a pass first point. Examples of three type of player we need to complete
this team. Thoughts
Center:
DeSagana Diop #7 | Forward-Center | Dallas Mavericks Roster:
Height: 7-0 Weight: 280
Born: Jan 30, 1982 - Dakar, Senegal
College: None
Draft: 2001 - 1st round (8th pick) by the Cleveland Cavaliers
Point:
Jarrett Jack #1 | Point Guard | Portland Trail Blazers Roster:
Height: 6-3 Weight: 197
Born: Oct 28, 1983 - Fort Washington, Maryland
College: Georgia Tech
Draft: 2005 - 1st round (22nd pick) by the Denver Nuggets
bench shooter:
Mike Miller #33 | Guard-Forward | Memphis Grizzlies Roster:
Height: 6-8 Weight: 218
Born: Feb 19, 1980 - Mitchell, South Dakota
College: Florida
Draft: 2000 - 1st round (5th pick) by the Orlando Magic

I am with you on Diop. He is at the top of my offseason wish list.
I want to see Acie play 30 ppg for awhile before i say we need a quality pg. I think he can do the job.
There is no way we get miller. Way to pricey.

I like Acie, but I'm starting to think he is more of a combo guard. but your right he has to stay heathy so he can play more. He could be our
version of Chauncey Billups

I also herald Golden State needs a backup point, a small trade like:
Tyronn Lue #10 | Point Guard | Atlanta Hawks Roster:
Height: 6-0 Weight: 175
Born: May 3, 1977 - Mexico, Missouri
College: Nebraska
Draft: 1998 - 1st round (23rd pick) by the Denver Nuggets
for:
DJ Mbenga #28 | Center | Golden State Warriors Roster:
Height: 7-0 Weight: 255
Born: Dec 30, 1980 - Kinshasa, Congo
College: None
Draft: None

I agree with the premise, but I feel your examples are for the most part unavailable during the season (with the exception of Miller). Jack is going nowhere as he's proven to be a solid G in their 3 guard rotation. Diop is a good offseason target if we can get into a cap situation to make a run at him. I can't see Dallas traded him during the season though. Miller will probably be available soon, but his contract makes the other moves difficult to orchestrate (if not impossible). We need to fill the role of bench shooter on the cheap.
My candidates for the offseason:
Beno Udrih PG - excelling in Sacramento. Pass first PG with 3 point range.
Kelenna Azubuike SG - Has a player option with GSW for 800K. Good 3 point shooter and perimeter defender. Golden St. has bigger fish to deal with in free agency if he opts out. Could be had for a decent investment of 2M in my mind.
DeSagana Diop C - As you already mentioned.
I think if we are able to do a deal with Seattle to free up some cap space next year that we could add these roles to our core group.

I don't think point guard is the problem right now but we do need a big to come off the bench and play defense and rebound because Zaza and Sheldon aren't cutting it.

The PG and SF shooter positions are not both needed. If we had a shooter like James Jones (we thought we had one in Salim, but that's not the case at this moment), the PG position would be better, having more opportunities to create with two guys who can shoot on the floor. Like if we had PG able to shoot (we thought we had one in Law, but he's not ready...), we would not need a shooter wing player so much...
What is hurting is to see these type of player being on other team for little contract, while we have some garbage paid more.

True, but Diop didn't do much the last few years so I can't say we missed out on much there.
