Yeah that does look nice, but we wouldn't have any scoring in our 4's and 5's. None of our PF's would be able to score 20 nor would a center. Smooth had that. But awesome trade. Just we need scoring out of some big guys, and I don't think Horford and Okafor is known for that.

Okafor made a huge mistake not re-signing. He is a 25 year old defensive specialist who doesn't draw the double on the block and misses about 30 games on average. Not to mention he has regressed back to the mean in terms of his production compared to last season.

Hawks are not trading Smith for a guy who is in the decline.

How in gods name do any of you think that is a good trade?

You want to trade Josh smith who is a better shot blocker, passer, scorer, and all around defender(yeah I said it) for a 6-10 Center that gets around 10 rebounds per game(...um...don't we have one of those) and gets hurt and will miss 15+ games and doesn't pass well out of the double.

Felton is nice, but I think his ceiling is Acie Laws ceiling with Law eventually being better at getting to the rim.

I wouldn't do this trade at all.

I wouldn't be opposed to a Smith/whoever for Brand/Cassell though. Brand for the future, Cassell for this year.

i share your outrage.

do people know that Smoove is only 21, has made huge stride after huge stride, and has just been able to create his own shot this year and now certain people want to trade him.

but their have been Smith haters from day one.... but they are in the minority.

I don't understand Smoove trades. If you look at how much talent he has, and how much he has progressed you will see he could be the next big thing in the NBA. He's 22 and already an elite defender, and he continues to improve and become a solid contributor offensively.
