The Bucks, who are apparently open to dealing Charlie Villanueva, Bobby Simmons, Charlie Bell or Dan Gadzuric, will have a plethora of options besides Pietrus. That

A lot of bad contracts in that Milwaukee list.

Agreed... I doubt the Hawks make a move because BK doesn't have that much vision. But this team needs size. Even if it's coming off the bench, we need a guy that can get in there, do the dirty work and likes to rebound the ball.... I think Gadzuric would fit the bill.

Gadzuric is the only one worth grabbing there for the money they are making. Good energy guy that will work hard on the boards.

Not sure why you feel Dan is a good investment. He's injury prone and he's going to be paid 6-8 million over the next 3 seasons. His name has been mentioned over the years here, and I have always seen him as a bad investment.

The only places I'm not comfortable with Atlanta's roster is the 1 (we'll see how Law develops) and the 5 (I want a banger true 5 to play with Horford and Smith)

I don't like the Bucks roster for either need...

If the Bucks want an athletic, defensively-inclined 3 and are willing to give a 4, it's a shame they didn't get together when the Magic gave away Ariza...

Gadzuric is a classic example of a big who signed an extension after his 1 promising season and then revert back to half the productivity. There is no reason to expect him to get back to 20 mpg, 7ppg, 8rpg, 1bpg level that he did in that extension. At his 12mpg, 3ppg, 3rpg level his remaining 3yrs/20M is paying too much. It makes Lo Wright look like a bargain in comparison.

by comparison some other bigs:
Jeff Foster produces more and makes less
Andray Blatche produces more and makes a lot less.
Brandon Haywood produces a lot more and makes less.

Jackie Butler has produced about the same as Gadzuric now and is sitting as a free agent right now.

I think the Dan Gadzuric supporters would complain about it within a year and call for Billy Knights head. I like him when he's healthy, but he has a bad contract, and it's for another three years.

I view Dan's contract almost as bad as Speedy's.

Gadz reminds me a lot of Solomon Jones, just older and more Dutch. The cited article says that one of the players that could be on the move is Josh Smith.

In conversations with several general managers and player personnel directors within the last week, here is a list of some

Seems like a throw a bunch names out and maybe get lucky on 1 strategy. I doubt there is any inside knowledge. With Josh Smith being an RFA due a big deal and doubts still abound about the Atlanta ownership situation, it would make sense to include him on any such list just in case.

No that is not legit. I don't know what "sources" keep saying Smoove has been on the move but it has been going on for a couple of years and it is laughable.

This writer probably had some info on Artest and Randolph and just threw in a bunch of names that he's seen mentioned in trade rumors on realgm.

Gadz and ZaZa were FA the same year and the hawks chose Big Z.

6 year 36 million is garbage for that guy.

Personally I wouldn't have taken either at the time, and I lived in Milwaukee then. They are both bums
