Atlanta @ Toronto

Post#1 » by HMFFL » Fri Jan 18, 2008 6:22 am

I'm going to take this one upon myself due to how the previous meeting turned out. Both Atlanta and Toronto fans need to put the past game behind them and focus on tonight. Respect!

Line is Toronto by 6.5 and an o/u of 187.

Given our road woes, I anticipate Raptors and the under, but I hold out hope that I'm wrong more often than not.

JJ needs to score, plain and simple. We need him to put up 20+, then there will be less pressure on marvin and chill to score and less pressure on smith meaning he will not take 3's and focus inside.

Smith/Horford need to limit Bosh.

We definitely need JJ's offense, and we just need offense period. Offense again killed us against Milwaukee. Giving up offensive rebounds definitely had a lot to do with it but when we hold our opponent below 90 points, we should win the game, especially since we had 25 fast break points.

I have a feeling JJ and Josh are going to get back to their ways of owning the Raptors tonight. Hopefully it's enough. I know Josh had probably the worst game of his career last time and we were still in it until the end.

If I were to do a game thread it wouldn't have anything to do with Toronto other than their logo.

It'd have everything to do with Joe Johnson and the Hawks not hitting a FG for 12 minutes against the Bucks!

I think you guys need Josh Smith to step up big time... Last time we played he had like 5 points, 8 reb, and he fouled out.. He's big and mobile and if he takes it inside its hard for us to stop him unless we foul....Over the last few years, the times we lost to you I remember he always had big games...

The Horford stuff is done with, I doubt he'll get more than a couple of boos to start the game...

To be fair, that was a home game for you guys. If Smith plays like that again tonight, don't expect it to be close.

I will be working today. So I will miss all the insightful comments by raptor fans, now that suxs.

"Hawks done 2nite not even close...Horfords nose accidentally gets broken hopefully!!!!!"

If I had said that on another board then I would have a got a warning. Book it. I like how HMFFL mods but sometimes we are too soft on trools.

Hey Hawks fan.. This will be a good game.. I hope the raps win it..

As for Horford, don't mind the other raps fan here, I like the kid and I hope no one boos him. I would have loved if the raps could somehow draft Horford..

Come on back later man and discuss the game.

The Hawks reverted to what I call "Woody Ball" last game. They took a buttload of jumpshots. You don't get cold from 4 feet in. Big deal Bogut is down there. Sooner or later you will get him in foul trouble.

Same goes for Bosh. Don't act scared. And cover the glass on the defensive end!
