Two differant type of players, but dan is a energy guy that would work go
with our second unit.

Dan also makes around 26 million over the next 4 years.

Gadzuric has a horrible contract that could strangle the ability to improve the team for years.

Think back a few years when we signed ZaZa. Gadz and Z were FA with the Bucks. We could have made a run at Gadz then and chose not too. Granted Z at the time was looking like a better player for cheaper, but to be honest I think your screwed with either of them. Point being if we wanted Gadz we would have went for him then. If the Bucks wanted Z they would have retained him then. Plus a few posts before this, the obvious was stated. Gadz contract sucks for what he brings to the table

I didnt want to start a whole new topic so i thought id put this in here because it concerns a bucks/hawks trade.

over on the bucks board we are talking about a rumored 'deal' that would net the bucks marvin williams and possibly Law. so here was a trade that I think would help both teams.

how about something to the tune of Mo williams/Charlie V/Gadzuric/Storey

for

Marvin/Lue/Wright/Law

?

atlanta gets the PG to run an up tempo offense and a backup PF for Josh Smith. Bucks get there SF and a young PG with toughness. Wright Lue, and Storey are expirings. Gadz evens out the deal money wise.

The other idea would be Mo williams/charlie V/Gadz/Storey

for

Marvin Williams/Sheldon Williams/Claxton

both trades work in trade checker

thoughts? suggestions?

Trading Zaza right now doesn't make sense. His value is at an all time low...I would atleast try to showcase him for the last 3 months of the season and then see what we can get in the summer.

No thanks. I don't think I would swap Law/Marvin for Mo/Charlie if I had the chance...let alone take back Gadz awful contract in return for expirings. I would possibly trade Childress and Law for Mo though.

well law/childress for mo/CV swap doesnt work in trade checker, but this is something close that did work:

Mo/CV/Voskuhl

for

Childress/law/sheldon/wright

any better?

im pretty sure my fellow bucks fans would accept this...dont take my word for it tho.

I'm not a fan of CV at all so I wouldn't make that deal.

That is a bad deal for the Hawks. I feel that Marvin/Law>Mo/CV, then Shelden/Wright>Jake.

how is law looking? i haven't been able to watch any hawks games this season. does he look like he has some potential?

seriously? i haven't seen law play and i've been hearing good things about marvin's development, but seriously?

cv is a dud on defense, but can be a stud on offense if he chooses to. and mo is a hell of a player on the right team. right now, him and redd are killing each other while they both start. one of them has to go.

Charlie V is a pf, so on the hawks he would either have to move to sf where he hasn't played a ton, or be a backup. I would see him as a backup so thus his value is not as high as a starter to me, which is what marvin is for our team.

So Mo is better than law, Marvin is better than CV. It might be a bit more even than originally but contracts might play a role also.

i'm not sold on marvin being any better than cv. i think cv has been played out of position this year at the pf. i think he's more a small forward - he likes to shoot long and sometimes attacks the basket. cv if in the right situation is a 20ppg player. i guess marvin is showing that too...

Would you guys deal Zaza and Wright for Rasho?

Rasho's contract goes as long as Zaza's, and I dont think the extra $3 mill would really hurt you guys. Rasho's definitely a lot smarter than Zaza, and a much better defender + role player.

Not even sure the Raps would do it, doesnt really do much for either side.

The point in trading Zaza is to cut his salary, not add 3 more million a year.
