Reggie Roberts, 22, of Atlanta set up camp outside Walter's clothing store in downtown Atlanta at 9 a.m. Wednesday. By lunch time Thursday, he and two dozen others lined the sidewalk along Decatur Street waiting for Nike's new Air Jordans to go on sale Friday morning.
"It's cold out here, really cold," said Roberts, who was at the front of the line. "But I want these shoes. I gotta have these shoes. We're making history."
The theme here is 23. This is the 23rd edition of the wildy popular shoes. Only 23 pair will be sold at 23 stores nationwide

That is a fine looking shoe, but I'm can't think of anything that I'd camp out several days in this weather for the privilege of buying.

Unbelievable. I drove by Walters on my way home from work yesterday and there were like 20 people already setting up camp at 5 p.m. Then, this morning, there was an even bigger line and it was 21 DEGREES OUTSIDE!!!!! These folks are just as absurd as the people who camp out to see Star Wars movies when they come out. I would understand if they were all 12 year olds, but most of them were grown-ass-men...

its just when your a sneaker head, these kind of things come once a lifetime, the original jordan ones go for like 500 at normal shoe stores, and its like, every special edition sneaker that comes out, you have a natural want for it
