According to court documents, he estimates he has $875,000 in monthly expenses, which includes $110,505 on monthly vacations; $60,417 on gifts; $23,950 on clothes, dry cleaning and laundry; $46,500 on child care; $24,300 on gas and oil for four vehicles; $12,775 on food; and $468,345 on three home mortgages. On top of that, O'Neal pays nearly $500,000 a month in income taxes.

In the court documents dated Jan. 16, O'Neal itemized a list of expenses as massive as his 7-1, 325-pound frame. O'Neal, who earns $20 million a season from the Heat, said he brings in $1.6 million a month in basketball salary in addition to roughly $220,000 from business investments.

Not sure how much of this I believe.

Given as much money as he had made in his career I would have expected his investments to be doing more. Unless he changes some things after retirement he's going broke faster than MC Hammer.

On the positive side at least he didn't have a line item for feeding tigers like Mike Tyson had.

 @spending 24k a month on gas. The only logical explanation is that he is letting all his friends and family members drive his many cars while he's traveling with the team or that he is buying fuel for his private jet or something.

That is ridiculous. More on monthly expenses than most people make in 10 years.

More like 20 or 25 years for me once I get out of college.

$60000 a month on gifts? $24000 a month on clothes? WTF.

And no way he spends $13000 a month on food, that's like $500 a day on FOOD.

I don't believe this.

He is a rather large man.

Also, I believe the clothes budget included laundry. He must buy really nice fabric softener.

Is there any advantage to claiming high expenses yet low investment earnings in regards a divorce settlement?

He is going to lose some serious cash.

The ex-wife will be living just as large as he is soon. Once this thing gets finished, she will be able to just manage her kids while Shaq makes the payments for everything.
Oh well, he must think its better to go ahead and get it over with. That man could support his own small city!
