Joe's working on being a vocal leader

Joe's back
In his third season since a 3 1/2-year stint in Phoenix, Johnson knew he would still be booed Tuesday.

"That's a given," he said before a tame round of boos.

For the Hawks, making playoffs have not been a given. Did Johnson realize how much he would miss the postseason?

"True enough, I want to make the playoffs; but I wouldn't necessarily say miss it," Johnson said.

"When we do get there, it'll be special."

Johnson is working on being a more vocal leader.

"I'm kind of in a comfort zone, and I really don't want to come out," he said. "It's been tough, but I've been a lot more vocal. Every year it gets a little bit better."

Joe needs to work on a lot of things. Not just talking on the floor. I hope he fixes his game first.
