What ESPN is Saying:
Coach Rick Adelman would like to see the Houston Rockets put together a long winning streak at home. They've certainly done that against the Atlanta Hawks.

Having won five in a row overall, the Rockets look to win their ninth straight home game against the Hawks when the teams meet on Saturday night for the first time this season.

Houston (29-20) is on perhaps its best run of the season, having won nine of its last 10. But five of those victories have been on the road, where the Rockets have taken eight straight. A 92-77 win over Cleveland on Thursday night was the Rockets' second straight at home, where they haven't won more than three in a row all season and are 13-9.

Houston has won eight straight at home against Atlanta since a 93-87 loss on Feb. 25, 1999. Before that defeat, the Rockets won their previous six at home versus the Hawks.

What Vegas Is Saying:
Caesars/Harrah's/Rio Houston -8.5 183 o/u

Little Known Fact:

The city of Houston is named after a famous private detective.

And While In Houston, Guests Of The Rockets Stay At Hotel Zaza

Not a high riser and a bit ugly on the outside. Ok, that's where the analogy ends. Very elegant and high-end inside, not cheap. Good luxury boutique hotel, probably considered a 4 star. The way he's played this year he should probably be called La Quinta Pachulia.

gsuteke (the master) for the format, inspiration and several of the images.
mavsfoty for the lineup animations. I had to promote Scola as he's starting now.

If it is slow loading, I apologize as I'm using my server for images. Also, I'm not as funny as the master (nor do I claim to be), but I hope it suffices in a pinch.

GO HAWKS!!!

I hate typos in polls. No do over. Should have been "bring" not "break".

Very good game thread. I don't care about the typo, I knew what you meant.

I just thought "break" was the "urban" way of saying. I'm getting old anyway.

You mean their Dancers over ours?

I agree!

You never know in the NBA. Who would have thought the Cavs would beat us last night with that High School squad + LBJ?

I didn't mention this yesterday because of the superstitious crowd but I've found when I freestyle the background info the Hawks have a much better record than when I copy it.

Not that anyone is superstitious or anything!

LOL Enjoy your weekend boys. My work week is finally done as of 11 AM.

Good luck guys. I don't think we will see this as an easy win. I think this win could go either way. Anyways, good luck in the rest of the season and tonight.

Great thread. We need this one after last night. Forunately our team didn't exert too much energy last night so we shouldn't be too tired.

Wow!

I hope your team rewards your effort tonight against mine.

Here's to a good game.

They havne't been playing all season without Gibson (47% from 3), Gooden and AV (19 pts and 17 rebounds combined), and Pavlovic.

They started Eric Snow and Ira Newble. It doesn't get much worse than that.

I love looking at other forums and seeing how they always say the Hawks "should be an easy win." This is the NBA and your team is only 13-9 at home. It's just a stupid thing to say.

This should be an easy win for them. They have won 9 of their last 10 and we aren't exactly known as a strong team on the second game of back to backs.

Ouch.

Well this was predictable, but still sad. Good timeout by Adelman when we got it down to 19.

Might as well comment on the commercials . . . Am I to understand that Philips makes everything but condoms?

I missed most of the first half, fortuitously as it turns out.

so did Horford try to drive on Yao? If he did then that will make this blowout easier to take.

This is going to be worse than i thought. I wonder how many more 30+ losses will it take to get Woody fired and/or a trade for a decent PG and a backup big.
