What does a Duhon rental cost?

Chris Duhon has stepped his game up in the absence of most of the big name Bulls. This article seems to acknowledge that he isn't in the Bulls long term plans and could be available before the trade deadline.

He has a small contract of 3.25M which is expiring. This is both a positive and a negative. Positive is that you don't have to commit long term to him and he doesn't tie up a lot of cap. Negative is that he could bolt in the off season making him just a rental.

The Bulls probably aren't keen on adding contracts, but might be enticed with a future pick and a replacement expiring deal.

Would you be willing to trade:
AJ (or Lue) and a conditional pick to Chicago for Duhon with the terms on the pick being a 2nd rounder in 2009 if we don't resign Duhon in the summer or a Top 16-protected 1st rounder in 2010 if we do resign him.

Do you think that is enough for Chicago to bite?

In any situation with Duhon, I am not for giving a 2010 1st, prefering keep it for another trade.

What if it was a Chris Duhon and Joe Smith rental? That would get a PG upgrade and a veteran big man to help out in the rotation. He has 1 more year on his deal at 4.8M next year. That is affordable production.

Chris Duhon
Joe Smith
for
Ty Lue
Lo Wright
2010 1st (lottery protected)

For us: Helps us with scoring, rebounding, assists, and perimeter D.

For Chicago: gets them cap room for next year and a future 1st.

I'd prefer to keep Smith out of it; like D21, I don't really want to give up a first in this deal. Ideally we'd have peice Zaza, Salim, or Shel, that the Bulls would be interested in and we could move them (and AJ if thats what was needed for salary) for Duhon. I like Duhon, he'd be an upgrade because he can hit the 3 but isn't a complete liability in every other aspect like Lue. I don't know what the Bulls want for him, they certainly wouldn't give him away without getting an asset back because he is expiring this season so there is no reason to get rid of him.
