The deadline is fastly approaching and something needs to be done. First of all the Coach needs to go. He has no clue how to win a close game. His rotations suck, and I can't bear to watch another Joe iso play out of a timeout. The rest of the league is on to it Woody. :banghead:

After watching Billups tonight too, it is completley evident that AJ/Lue is a worthless combo in the backcourt. Billy it is called backcourt not backupcourt. These guys were career journeymen backups for a reason. They are not the answer to get a young team over the threshold and into the playoffs. Taken from an NBA column 2backup PGs + 1 Rookie PG doesn't equal a starting PG. Please do something!

Upgrading the bigs wouldn't hurt either. Horford is a beast, but he is a rookie that we are relying too much on. When we play a team with size like detroit the twin towers Z/LoWright do not get it done. When have either of these clowns struck fear into an opponent. Z....never, and LoWright probably 5 years ago.

This is not a postgame rant after a dissapointing loss, but a plea to the man at the top to make a move for once.
This season is in the red, and a couple more losses and we will be on the outside looking in. It seems like the fanbase(whats left of it) has come to the same consensus. Although it seems like our thoughts are falling on deaf ears.

My final plea....Billy please do something. Bring us a contending team that we can be proud of. Not a bunch of young talent paired with career scrubs that will get us yearly lottery picks....well after 2010.

Please Billy Please

It's true we need a PG, but our guys did a good job on Billups. He wasn't doing anything until the end, when he hit some tough, well-guarded shots. Nothing you can do about that.....Chauncey just being Chauncey.

He always gets the ball

If you know he is getting the ball, then why aren't you making sure he doesn't? Billups is the Hawks' nemesis, and I hope it seals Woody's fate.
He doesn't have an answer for it.

In a close game, is there no way to make sure Billups doesn't touch the ball? I have seen this replay too many times.

In the game thread I suggested going big against Chauncey late to try an disturb his shot. Don't know if would have worked, but it wasn't tried. I know that AJ couldn't stick with him. No crime really, Chauncey can get his shot off against most PGs.

If AJ is our best option

Then why don't we make a change SOMEWHERE?That is because that was not a good decision by our coach. It doesn't matter that we stopped Billups for 3 quarters. He knows he is going to get his opps in the 4th.
I just don't see us improving when we need to start showing signs.
We beat Philly and LA, get punched in the face by an average Houston team, and still haven't figured out how to beat Detroit at home.

Since BK built this team with the concept that 5 6'7" players could create more havoc than the standard lineup, why isn't Josh Smith or Chills or even JJ guarding Billups? Let Wallace, McDyess, Prince............ANYONE but Billups beat us.

Woody must know he isn't going anywhere despite the results. I agree, because it will need to be a package deal to get rid of both people responsible for our inconsistency.

I wonder if there would have been a way to get Smith on Chaunce without having to put AJ/Lue on a player they had no chance of guarding effectively (that's a joke).

I remember in the fourth, Smith played Billups close to take away the shot and then when Billups went to the rack Smith just waited for him to put the shot up and blocked it. He could do that all day against a guy like Billups who isn't quick enough to get a few steps or explosive enough to jam it in.
