I gave BK three full seasons to show what he could do with his colossol re-building. At three years I looked at the talent and liked what I saw. I also saw an unbalanced roster. This trade deadline could be very big for BK's tenure, but this summer is the Hawks real trade opportunity. So, for me he has to do what he is going to do by this summer. Then, we have a winning team ready to climb into the East's elite or he's done.

Woodson...Why is he still here. He is the single worst in game coach I can remember ever seeing in the NBA. The young guys growth is disappointing and their development is not being meshed into a cohesive team. There is a lot of talent sitting on the bench on a talented and deep young team. We need a lot more intelligence in the gameplan and rotations. Proven players are swooning.....

The players need to get ready for the arrival of the new coaching staff. I just can't answer the question of; is the problem; players trying to follow very bad coaching or players not following coaching. Either way coaching is at issue.

I keep in the following order:

Smoove/Horford/JJ/Marvin/Chil/Acie/Shelden/Zaza/AJ/Salim/Jones/West/Lue/Lo

You have to listen to any trade. Chil/Shelden or Marvin could be used in some combination to get help at PG/BIG C.

Big C is always attractive, but it seems a good PG would make the biggest impact. Also need to improve team shooting.

I think you're giving BK a little too much credit on this one. He's had a chance to salvage this season for a while now but hasn't made any moves. Woody certainly hasn't helped, I think a lot of the problems with the coaching staff has been the development and use of our young guys.

I've made my thoughts on the subject clear. I would refuse to let go of Josh and Al... you aren't going to get back better players than them. I'd try and keep Joe too because I think he's in a slump but when he's healthy he'd definitely complement those two guys. Other than that, I'd be open to moving anyone for the right deal. Acie might be hard to move because he is a rook and has been playing poorly, but if a good deal came along, I'd snap it right up. If we could move our assets around and end up with another long range shooter like Miller and a starting caliber point guard like the other Miller, we'd have one of the better starting units in the game.

JJ's comments after last night's game are really telling. First, he's explicit in our need for another shooter to help spread the floor. Second, you see implicitly his frustrations with BK for not making something happen. I have said before and I'll say it again: I believe JJ's slump this season has more to do with how BK hasn't brought in the talent to make this team really solid. I also think JJ is a very serious character who wants to win and make something of his career. How would you feel if the best years of your career were being wasted because someone else wasn't doing everything they could? I think he's pissed and either wants something done immediately or wants to be traded soon. He's also the leader of this team in many ways, and that has reflected on the overall play of this team. I think he should do something drastic in order to make his statement. If he chose to sit out a game or not show up to a practice or something, it would have to wake someone up because he's too good a character to pull a stunt like that unless something is really bugging him.

I want to chime in that it doesn't always have to be a blockbuster trade to help or a change in the starting lineup to help. Utah added Kyle Korver to their lineup to spread the floor. He plays less then 24 minutes a game, which are 6th man numbers. The team is 18-3 with him. What he adds to the team makes other players better. It's called adding a skill set. BK has done horrible with this concept and it is evidenced by our lack of shooters and lack of size.

At the same time I'm not sure if Woodson would even take advantage of new players with different skill sets.

Move #1: Fire Woodson (even if replacement is only interum)

Move #2: Shelden or Zaza and Marvin or Chil and get a good PG and shooter.

I'm for keeping the players and losing the GM/Coach. A trade and new coach would give the team a chance to pull out of the tailspin while still looking towards next year as the real windiow of opportunity
