I think the Hawks should bring in a 3 pt shooting adviser or specialist or coach to work with Mario West. Mario West is a high energy dynamic perimeter defender making the minimum. He doesn't get a chance to shoot much in games so you could actual work on his shot in season without negatively affecting in game play. If he could develop a decent long range shot to go with his energy and D he'd be the perfect addition to the playing rotation right under our noses.
This small investment in coaching could pay big dividends by getting us quality minutes at a minimum cost this year and next.
Anyone know any shooting specialists who might be available? I only ones know of Chip Engelland (was working with San Antonio last I heard) and Mark Price (signed at start of year by Memphis), but I think they're unavailable.

Many Coaches or former players could help Mario and many of our other players. The problem with players is that not many truly are willing to change their form. It's very difficult to do if you have been shooting a certain way for half your life.
Al Harrington is one player off hand that's drastically improved his 3 point shooting. I wonder what he or who he relied on to accomplish this. I'm assuming he put in the time on his own and he can most likely take credit for his own doing.
Mario already has both Dennis Scott and Steve Smith who can give him pointers. I just feel it has more to do with the player himself and the time they put towards improving. Basically first starts with changing their form and getting comfortable with the range.

Or maybe Josh should up it to 1000 because 500 didn't get the job done.
Maybe that is what Mario needs to try. I just wanted to suggest something since he doesn't really get to shoot in games that he could actually work on his stroke and range without messing up his in game shooting. If he could stroke a three, he'd be a perfect bench contributor because he's already tough on the defensive end.
