This is the most logical signing ever. Even if he has regressed(alot) he can still grab defensive rebounds and can take Zaza's minutes. He would be a younger/possibly better version of Lo Wright.

I guess he provides some sort of D presence. He might be worse than Zaza on offense though. I'd almost rather sign Dale Davis.

I think it's pretty hard to be worse offensively than Zaza this year. Not only does he shoot a poor percentage...but he takes shots outside the flow of the offense. The thing that scares me about Magloire is that while he's been bad this year...he would have to be a pretty poor lockeroom guy/practice player to get waived. I wouldn't mind Davis or Magloire because at the very least they are better defensive rebounders than Zaza and they also give us another big body to throw at Howard/Curry/ Yao/etc.

Mags has to be the best we could do. He certainly couldn't be worse than Zaza.

remember they had to cut someone to make room for the guys they just traded for.

We have 13 players, but Speedy won't play this season, so to get a full playoff roster, we need one more guy.

Unless BK is already targeting another player, let's go for Magloire. We have nothing to loose, and even if we need a better defensive big than him, we won't have a better one.

I agree and fully support us pursuing him.

Any way that we can take minutes away from Zaza is approved by me.

With Dale Davis rumored to be returning to Detroit our options for a big appear to be Magloire or an NBDL all-star. I still like Rod Benson or Elton Brown, but a little more experience would probably do the bench good.

I would prefer Brent Barry...unless Richardson proves to be a younger, cheaper AND consistant shooter.

Hoopsworld article

They seem to feel that Magloire is headed to Dallas. Not really surprised that we are not included among talked about destinations.

That article is speculation. DAL could very well try to get Mags, but the Hawks are in the same position and could try to grab him first. If it means how much $$$ he gets, we might be up a creek. But he might do the deal to come to a team that has playoffs in mind and needs someone exactly like him to get the job done. BK just needs to move fast.

Not a big fan of Mag, but based on this I would sign him through the end of the year only, to provide some depth.
