Link to Sekou's article no longer good, so I edited it out. Sorry if you missed it.

I've always thought that Woodson's coaching philosophy did not match this roster. I'm suprised because I thought they were friends. This just confusing...BK wants Woody fired and the ASG said no? I'm also suprised to see so many negative things about the Hawks by Sekou. This guy must have just watched that collapse at San Antonio and just said **** it.

This just shows again the Hawks ownership, front office, and coaching staff are all as incompetent as we thought. NOBODY is on the same page. This is a disaster.

All of a sudden I started to respect BK
After all, he was a moron drafting Marvin and Shelden, but at least he is trying to fix some things in the team.

Woody is not a good coach, but I feel sorry for him in all this. He's stuck in this complete mess/soap opera between the owners, and now apparently between BK and the owners as well.

Woody has tried to work with the disastrous teams BK has given them, and then we he finally gets him a PG, he tries to fire him! I wouldn't mind if both of these guys were gone this summer.

How can you respect that? He's gone behind the coach's back three times to try and get him fired. Why's he doing it? To make Woody the scapegoat for the team failing when he gave him very little to work with.

Notice the article said "by AJC" and not by Sekou? Sekou probably told them something off the record(remember BK does talk to Sekou)and they took the story and ran with it. Well it doesn't matter...the story is already there for everybody to see.

I just don't grasp how people think its okay to do a crappy coaching job with a less than perfect squad. Is this team really worse than the Doc Rivers team that won him coach of the year? Are any of his teams really that much worse than the Terry Stotts teams?

I was about to keep listing teams that weren't that well put together but still won more than Woodson, but that would get tiring. I understand Josh, that you think BK put together a less than team. Fine.

But how does that excuse him from doing a piss poor job of coaching. You can lose and still not make mindnumbingly stupid coaching decisions night in and night out for 3 years.

Rip you would have an excellent point if a competent GM was trying to fire him. BK has done more damage to the Hawks than Babcock. Passing on Paul and Roy are two mistakes that we won't be able to make up for until the next era of Hawks basketball. Woody did not put together this flawed roster.

I think that has got to be the least informed, attentive, and educated opinion that has ever been uttered in the Hawks forum here.

And that's including every time someone's included the injured Speedy Claxton in a trade suggestion.

I think BK is just fed up with Woodson not using the pieces he gives him. Diaw, Shelden(I know, but if he pans out in Sac-town...I wouldn't be suprised), Saalim, Solo, Acie.......its just too much........maybe the guys can't play......but 5 minutes every 3 months is not the way to tell........BK basically traded all of Woodson's security blankets and is forcing him to play some of these guys.
If it counts luck is worth the same as skill

Of course it doesn't excuse it. I never said it does excuse it. Unless something drastic happens, Woody should be gone at the end of the year.

All I'm saying is BK is clearly trying to run Woody out to save his own job.

Well I'm not sure he's gone behind Woody's back... It doesn't look like Woodson doesn't know what's going on. It was more like this:

:BK: "Mommy ASG, let me fire Woody, please, please, please..."
:ASG: "Not until your homework is done."

But I respect the fact that he's trying to make things better. Well, at least since last draft. And getting Woody fired should be the next step. If this doesn't work, then it will be the time for BK to go.

Woody told Sekou he knew nothing about him getting fired. So if he is telling the truth and this rumor is true, he did go behind his back.
