I created this topic because I feel that BK and Woody are joined at the hip and will both be fired at the end of the season....regardless if we make the playoffs or not.

My choice for GM would be.....and dont laugh.....Charles Barkley.

I feel his no-nonsense attitude is what this team desparately needs. Heck....he's the only TNT guy that always has something good to say about our Hawks.

What's the pulse of Hawks RealGm'ers?

I would never hire an ex player to be the GM. I want the smartest guy in the room making trades.

So Barkley a GM with no GM experience, and Steve Smith a Head coach with no coaching experience. Something the tells me that will be a disaster.

I'm finding the two pretty entertaining considering Hawk fans are wanting the two. Even Steve Smith alone who has ZERO experience as a head coach.

Who is going to want to be GM with ownership sticking their nose into everything.

I don't now how much of Barkley's opinions are said solely for television purposes.

If everything that he says is true, then logic doesn't seem to be his strong point. He seems the type to do things based on emotion.

Don't believe a word from Smith, but everybody is speculating now:

..."Brown landing with Hawks?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported last week that owners blocked Hawks general manager Billy Knight from firing coach Mike Woodson, further suggesting Knight could be the one in trouble. Woodson is close to Larry Brown, who was said to be in Atlanta recently, raising speculation about Brown going to Atlanta in some role."...
