The league seems to be flip flopping on the use on newly acquired players to allow them.

Found another write up with more detail:

ESPN write up

Bibby, Childress, and Richardson for us.

Marion, Banks for them?

So Marion plays with NO fouls even though the guy he replaced had 5(should have been 6 after he hit Marvin in the face)? This is (Please Use More Appropriate Word)...will Josh Smith be able to play even though he fouled out?

This is **** stupid.

What a joke. Miami should just dribble out the clock.

I don't see how you can even suggest using new players. Makes absolutely zero sense.

The more logical reason would be if they just gave Miami the win(even though it was a horribly officiated game in favor of the Heat). I don't get why they are replaying the game if Shaq isn't playing.

This is a joke, the fine was enough. I would like to put the chokehold on whoever made this fuc$%#* dumbass decision.

We might benefit a little more after our trade. Smith having fouled out, mainly on ?able calls, certainly helps them; especially with Marion being able to play... all and all? Whole situation smells like ****.

How bout another little twist to the game.....parade David J. Stern's whole family naked with animals as a pre-game show....

It does seem strange, if you were going to allow new players you would have to replay the whole game.

The NBA once again drops the ball and fumbles things. I swear Atlanta can never catch a break!

Since Miami are out of the playoff race, I see no reason for the league to do this. They only did this because they wanted Wade/Shaq and their TV ratings in the postseason.

I'm happy to not only concede the game, but the one that follows it as well guys.

Also I believe it's 51.9 seconds and the Hawks have the ball? Is that correct? Assuming it was a Shaq foul, it had to be Hawks ball, meaning 14 seconds of shot clock at least, and another possession of 24. I don't think Miami has the ability to come back from down 3 without possession this season in that time. Wade's clutch magic hasn't come out this season as in seasons past.

Shaq fouled out on an over the back foul on Horford after a Wade miss which put us in the bonus. Horford then hit 2 free throws to give us a 3 point lead. I'm pretty sure the game will start with Horford at the line and up 1 or Miami inbounding the ball down 3.

I don't understand why they are still playing it from the point where Shaq fouled out if he's no longer on the team. Replaying the entire overtime with new players would make more sense.

I think Miami is inbounding down 3. It's just after the FT's where the game was "altered."

The good news is we could potentially make a nice leap in the standings if we take these "2" games.
