Best reasons why they will won't reach post-season
Despite a 26-37 record, the Hawks are currently in the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. They lead New Jersey by a half game, Chicago by one game and Charlotte and Indiana by two games. With 19 games left, here's a look at why the Hawks will or won't make the playoffs this season.
MAKE IT
1. The schedule: Of the Hawks' 19 remaining games, 11 are against teams with a worse record, including three against the 18-win Knicks.
2. The opponents: The Hawks play Washington, New Jersey, Chicago (2), Philadelphia (2) and Indiana

I agree with 4 of the 5 miss it. I am getting tired of hearing that Al Horford isn't a C. Look around the East at the real C. What have you got?
Dwight Howard
Brendan Haywood
Nazr Mohammad/Okafor
Mark Blount
Sammy Dalembert
Nesterovic
Kendrick Perkins
Kristic/Diop/Sean Williams
Zach Randolph?
Big Z
Antonio McDyess
Bogut
Jeff Foster
Noah and Gray
Al is as much of a C as a lot of that list and if he adds some strength he may fit even more so. With Zaza playing like crap and Solomon not playing, we don't have any C depth, but I'm tired of the excuse that Al is a C. Not everyone can have a Dwight Howard. Al hitting a rookie wall (which is amazing that he hadn't really yet) might be a reason for fear, but not because he's out of position when you consider the opposition.
