OT: How 'bout these Dawgs?

Post#1 » by High 5 » Sun Mar 16, 2008 8:05 pm

I'll be honest, when it comes to college basketball I'm a fairweather fan. I had not seen a UGA basketball game in a long time before last night. After their historic day yesterday they're coming out aginst Arkansas on fire. They do not look like a team who played two games yesterday.

I hope this thread doesn't jinx them and I hope they still have their legs in the 2nd half. It would be nice to finally have a team to cheer for in the NCAA tournament. Go Dawgs!

30-11 with 8 minutes to go in the first half!

They pulled it off! Easily the most improbable and impressive tournament runs this year and probably in the last several years. Four SEC wins all season and then you get four in three days?

I actually watched the 2nd half myself and im a Tech fan. Congrats UGA. I dont know if all of this off time there gonna have is gonna be good for them though. Might be counter-active to their success. Hate to see them get dogged by a mid-major in the 1st round.

Very please with this team right now. Now, maybe they can get some decent recruits during the years to come.

They've got a great recruit coming in for next year in Howard Thompkins from Wesleyan. I saw him play a few times this year and he's a real good player. He and Price should be a formidable front court tandem.
