Before we traded for him, we were in the BOTTOM 5 in the league in offense (again) at around 95 points a game. Since the trade, we have been in the TOP 10 in the league in offense at around 101 points a game.
Amazing.

and our defense has been where? seems like we traded defense for offense...and it hasn't worked out as well as hoped. Hopefully next year Bibby will be healthy and gelling with the guys much better.

Are you seriously gonna credit Ty Lue, AJ and Shelden with our defensive success earlier in the year?
The more possessions you create for yourself in a game the more you chances/shots you give your opponents as well.
Our defense will improve with the (hopeful) return of Speedy next year and once our offense ges more accurate. I.e. fewer turnovers and better shooting %.

AJ was an above average defender, almost on the same level as Smoove as far as defensive productivity is concerned.... AJ's stats did suck, but his assist/turnover ratio was amazing.
but i'm not going to credit or blame Bibby for any changes in offense or defence, but i am disappointed in his leadership and IQ.
i haven't looked this up, but i assume that the Hawks lead the league in blown leads. i'm not a Bibby fan, but when the trade happen i tried to look on the bright side and thought, well, maybe Bibby might help the Hawks blowing all those leads. i thought with Bibby's experience and point guard skills, he would be able to stop the bleeding when things got bad, call the right play when things get out of sync, and calm everybody down, espeically when everyone gets jumpshot happy. but i haven't seen that.

the thing that has pissed me off is that he makes so many dumb decisions with the ball. He throws a lot of horrible passes.
I can accept that his defense will be subpar with his bad heel but i can't accept his total carelessness with the ball.

Please don't tell me you're banking on that.

Speedy is done...the best thing that could possible happen with Speedy is him off our cap.

Bibby has added a major element of composure. I think his leadership has been fantastic. We lose the Wizards game without the leadership and composed attitude he brings.
A lot of our players look more confident. I definetely think he's been helping out IV, he has looked so much better since returning from injury. Zaza has been looking his best of the year too.
Yesterday was a tough loss but when Carter decides to try there is really nothing you can do. If we keep playing like this we will make the playoffs. But I'm not going to bank on this team being consistent.

Oh how things change.....in the past four games.....Bibby is 5-32.....he did hit that amazing three to tie the Toronto games.....but he's done a disappearing act ever since.
Step up Bibs....and show some of that vet leadership and clutch shooting you are known for. God knows we need it right about now.

The Kings system and other players made Bibby's prime. He will never perform like that again. NEVER.

Bibs hasn't been shooting well but he didn't really hurt us until tonight. He;s still had pretty solid games distributng the ball despite the shooting numbers.

Bibby's defense has been the biggest issue..... then you add his poor shooting, it is hard for the Hawks to over come.

bibby's game tonight was inexcusable, the production differential between bibby and murray was at least 40 pts to 4 pts and that's if you assume that all of murray's assists led to two pt. baskets. if his assists lead to 3 pointers the number goes higher. he plays a decent game and we might have a shot at winning.
that being said tomorrow is another day and he'll need to be on his game against the knicks. this is one of the games that the hawks are counted on to win. indiana is going to falter at some point. we need to take care of business.

Bibby is 5-32 from the field the last 3 games. When combined with his defense he has been pretty horrible.

We knew the scouting report on Bibby when we traded for him. His offensive game flows from his jumpshot. He's never been best as a facilitator and he isn't much of a penetrate-kickout guy.

Bibs just needs to start hitting his shots again and he'll be fine. He's a veteran and I'm sure he's been through spells like this before. I'm looking for him to lead the way in NY.

This thread should be renamed...."The Amazing Disappearing Act!"
You think Bibby's really hurt?
There was NO effort exerted for him to get hurt! LOL

We know Bibby is a big time player, he has proven it over his career and in this season. I just think his injury might be too much for him to overcome right now.

Why are we surprised with Bibby? First we needed not a 2nd option but a PG to get our young guys the ball. 2nd he is not right for our team. Oh and 3rd, BK traded for him, so of course a PG he selects is going to suck here, because he is not what we need.

During the last 8 games of the regular season Bibby shot 36%. Then he goes 2-10 last night.
He doesn't create off the dribble, frequently jumps to throw careless passes and his defense is certainly not his strength.
I am not feeling too amazed right now.
