Did the camera just show Joe Johnson questioning Woodson as to why he was still on the court while Memphis was shooting FTs?

Horford's offensive game is really starting to become impressive. Once he moves back to PF, his PPG will see a significant rise.

Oh, and he's 7-7 from the line today. He's becoming money from there.

And a 9-0 run brings JJ back in the game. Sad

Every one on the bench is now worthless in my eyes outside of Chil. This is a debecle even if we win.

I know this is probably hating but why did Vince Carter Jr. on the Grizzlies start playing so hard when we put Jeremy Richardson in? He hasn't done **** since we put Josh Smith on him...

I do like Lowry though. He definitely has heart.

That's our second unit. You gotta be pleased with any W right now, if you want this team to play a complete game that just isn't gonna happen.

We are in great position for the postseason right now. I'm happy with the win.

Any coach who has to play his star 38 minutes in a game you led by about 30 heading into the 4th is an idiot. I know the bench sucks but there has to be a better way to manage JJ's minutes in easy games.

Just look at the box score tonight? JJ sat out the tail end of the 3rd qtr, he had to come back in when the 2nd unit blew the lead.

Usually I would blame Woody for playing Joe so many minutes but the Hawks would have lost if he didn't bring him back in the game. Memphis(for what reason I don't know)kept their best player in the game the entire 2nd half when down by 30-40 and he would have kept scoring and we would have kept turning the ball over if we didn't put our top 3 players back in.

Yeah, I did look at the box score, I don't live in the area. I was following it on the radio until the end of the third. How much of the leadf was cut into before he put JJ back in?

Let's just say Memphis went on a 23-4 run.

Once again, blame the bench all you want, look at the minutes. they didn't play THAT many minutes. 2 here and there is not what made that lead erode. Why are we pretending that we don't go to "Dribble the ball until 6 seconds on the play clock then shoot" when the starters leave.

And also, that is what the ENTIRE season is for. Get your bench play time so that you can get some useful minutes out of them. If you haven't played for 6 weeks, its a little unfair to expect a perfect performance out of them.

You have to develop a bench over the course of a season, plus you have to have shrewd front office moves to stock a bench. I gotta say the Hawks are 0-2 in those areas. I'm not trying to excuse the bench, they sucked tonight. I'm just saying it isn't that surprising that our bench isn't ready if you look back through the game logs. And if it is just a lack of talent, nothing has been done to change things.

Woody has done a poor job at utilizing the bench this year but at some point it's just basketball. They are professionals who practice on a daily basis. It's not that hard to run a set offense and just try to play defense. The other team shouldn't be able to cut 20 points into a lead within 5-6 minutes regardless of who is in the game.
BTW, Hawks finish the month 9-8. 2nd winning month of the season.

Also the 3rd winning month of the BK era. The 1st being January of 07. I actually heard the Memphis announcer say that the Grizzlies were actually playing well going into this game by winning "5 out of their last 15". What low standards.

It's just amazing what Bibby has done to our team. Our offense flows so much better. You got to love how Horford's game is just getting better. That 3rd pick could've been the best thing to happened to us ! On the other hand, Law is a disaster. He's got no confidence in his gme at all. I hate the way he slows down the game when he's in. On the top of that his body language was horrible tonight.

Woodson horrible job at developing the bench is coming to hurt this team now. No time to be thinking about getting tired. The starters need to hold it together just a little while longer.
