Horford's Tip
can someone please check if Horford tipped that inbound pass in the rap game. i would, but i didn't record the game. if you could also freeze frame it and post it, then better.
Horford doesn't have to touch the ball, as long as the video makes it look close, then it would be hard to over turn.

I'm pretty much done with the whole situation. The game is over with. Stern will not change the call. It was a fun game.
As a Raptor fan, this stings like hell. Both of our teams are young and growing and will be pitted against each other many more times and this will be fuel for the fire as the rivalry grows.
But come on! The angle of that picture is hilarious. Horford did not touch the ball.
Next thing you'll be telling me is that you believe in magic bullets.

Hortford did not touch that ball. I've watched the video and did not see any change in the balls flight. That angle is pretty useless. Remindes me of the skwed angle the Hawks fans were peddling about Ford touching the ball when the clocked started, when he plainly did not.
It was a bad call, and bad judgement, but I'm not going to lose sleep over that. I might lose sleep over us blowing a 17-point lead. And I might lose sleep over;
1. The fact that the ball did not go off Moon after the Johnson three-point miss
2. The fact that 0.5 was on the clock not 0.8. Refs usually keep a good eye about these things, and I'm dissapointed that they did not for this game.
3. I felt that there should have been a reach in foul on the last Toronto possesion where Delfino got the offensive rebound, but it was ripped away.
The bad call 0.15 shot clock error just added insult to injury.

Had his thumb made contact with the side of the ball, it would have altered the spin (even had he just brushed it). Though that video only continues for a few frames afterward, you can make out the seams on the ball, and the fact that it continues to rotate with no side-spin.
In the end, it matters not; frustrating as this situation is, the most that will happen is a tersely-worded press release in a week's time stating that there was no misconduct on the part of the scorekeepers or the referees. Atlanta will get the win, the referee involved will have an unpleasant 20 minute conference call with someone in the league office, and no other actual will result.

**** your asterisk.

Not always, your finger could slide across the ball and it will not altered the spin. If the finger gots a bigger chunk of the ball, then yes.

Which ref though? The one who messed up by a tenth of a second...
Honestly, it sucks and there should be a better way to do it but this isn't that guy's fault.

Don't forget even if he tipped it, what about the .3 seconds we were robbed after the Bibby 3. Anyways, Hawks get the win this time and we will see you next year to continue the new rivalry.
With the ninth overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, the Raptors select Vyacheslav Kravtsov from the Ukraine. In Jim Kelly we trust!
