Knicks have been playing much better

If Atlanta thinks they will stroll in and get an easy W --they will lose. What they have to do is come out with a ton of energy and pick up full court-- press and trap periodically through the game--always kills the Knicks. Atlanta needs to play like this is the 7th game of the NBA finals Friday--if you look at Indiana schedule--they could easily win out. Thi9s game vs the Knicks is the biggest game of the season----the Knicks are not lying down--they have been playing their best D of the year and going 9-10 deep. They have also been using an effective zone making other teams jump-shooters. The Hawks have to come fired up and ready to smoke at full tilt for 48 minutes.

^the last game was the biggest game of the season.

But I Think they can probably still make the playoffs if they go 2-2. They should take the NY game... if they don't they can still take down miami and magic.

Do you make a thread on the opposing team's board before every game? Hawks will just play street ball against the Knicks as always and win.

We need to go in there and take care of business. This is a game 7 in a lot of ways, if we win and Indy loses at Phili it's pretty much over.

The Knicks are going for their longest win streak of the year at 4 games. I don't know maybe it is just a case of everyone trying to impress Donnie Walsh. We can't take them or anyone else lightly right now. The team has to show up and play to win each game. Coach Woodson has to show up also. No 3rd quarter let downs. Quicker adjustments. For a change, be part of a solution not a problem.

If the Hawks can win 3 of the last 4 it doesn't matter what Indiana does. Until then every loss will make Indiana more confident and our inexperienced team tighter.

Sums it up.

At the end of the day the Knicks still have an even more flawed roster than us with even less talent, they are deeper though. If the Knicks edge lately has been playing harder against teams with their positions in the playoffs locked in (Orl, Det) and the Bobcats, then we just have to come out and match their intensity. Always easier said than done when you have a nitwit coach and nervous players.

^^^ Fortunately they have a nitwit coach that makes Woody look like a genius. I read a ridiculous article in an NYC Magazine ripping the Knicks to shreds. We cannot lose to this team.

I know the NY fans want to slow their roll since they want more ping pong balls, but ya never know.

I didn't realize it until you mentioned it but they went from tied for 3rd most balls to 6th if they win 1 more. That could bite them..

We'll be fine. This game against the Pacers just show us why Woodson has to go. Your team can eliminate the opponent from reaching you and the playoffs and suddenly you find your team down by 29. Against the Knicks we got to play like we have before the Indy game. Attack the rim with Horford and Smith. It's clear Bibby is struggling, and when that play with JJ is not working for us in a game, we just can't score. That's when a coach with any sense of flexibility would call other plays.
